Only just had chance to check in with this since almost the beginning of the project - looking amazing! What was a "save a bass/novelty repair" project has turned into a really classy instrument, by the looks of it very playable and "very AJR" as well!! Fantastic work Andy!

The headstock is a crowning glory haha Jokes aside, fab looking bass & I'm keen to hear how it sounds Andy I had one of your instruments out last night (the infamous Afro bodied fretless) and I have to say, soundcheck was one of the best "bass tone" moments of easily the last year! Really excellent, and entirely DI'd so a true testament to the instrument and in particular the 3pce neck you put together for it. Keep up the splendid work!

This looks great !! congratulations I was under the impression Zoot were making either less instruments or not at all, did I get the wrong end of the stick? (I guess so!!) Are they offering the full range of services listed on the website? (custom and stock instruments, cabs etc all from one company is amazing - I'd love to go and see the workshop, always admired what I have seen of their approach, very cool) Tom

Sorry I haven't chipped in much, been snowed under...hoping I may be able to pick up the bass this week and if so I will take a camera and try to record some audio as well! I love the way it looks...I take very little credit for any of it, just nudging things along!! Andy was fantastic throughout the process and I shall have more to say in a few days...absolutely desperate to get my hands on it!!!
