2. Just bought a Joyo pedal from Paul. Well packaged and arrived very quickly. Thoroughly recommend.
3. Hi, Just a post regarding Novation support. I made myself a set of bass pedals using an old Novation Bass Station1 I bought from Ebay. Has been working fine. Got it out for a rehearsal with my new band and one of the knob tops was missing. Found Novation's email address and dropped them a line asking if I can buy some replacements. Got a reply saying they would put some in the post for free. So thanks Novation, great service. Regards, Doug
4. Hi, Just got a JB-70 ROSEWOOD DELUXE deko I was told my nephew wants to learn bass so I saw it appear and thought I would buy for him. Sadly when I saw it I thought hmmm..... I have a deko progressive that works fine, he can have that! https://drive.google...NXphVjNCZEJiQ1k https://drive.google...S1Ywa3liZ3JPSDA https://drive.google...LUpCdXJhMlpXZGs Sorry about the photo quality. I check it out and there's a couple of minor finish problems, but a number of fret buzz problems along the A string. So I dug out my fret rocker and mallet, found the problem frets and seated them properly. Then applied sticky block markers (as I like them) and lemon oiled the neck. Checked for neck straightness, then adjusted string height and finally intonation. It's a great bass and the finish is terrific. I now have this, a standard precision (which I de-fretted and restrung with flats) and a round back acoustic. All have had to have small works done to them but ended up being good instruments. Regards, Doug
5. Hi, I am looking at your work, very impressed. Keep posting. Cheers, Doug
6. Bought a Behringer Feedback destroyer. Arrived on time and in good condition as described. No problems whatever.
7. The frets are filled with some veneer I bought online as a job lot. Got enought to do about 100 basses, all different colour veneers. The frets came out quite easily (I did buy a special tool though) Didn't get too much tear away on the fretboard at all. Cut the bottom of the veneer to the same radius as the fretboard, drop them in and put some cyano alongside to secure. Then lots of sanding, 12 coats or cyano, bit more sanding and then polish.
8. I've created a samepage account and uploaded the photos there. https://samepage.io/app/#!/53e9e8d46c0ac8bc80454bbf1e2286e5604f8649/page-199974265779472257 Try that.
9. Finally finished my Deko precision defret. New flatwound strings were almost the same price as the bass! A little bit more tweeking to get the action really low and get some MWAH from the board. I covered it in 12 coats of Poundland cyano! I then refinished the back of the neck with some left over danish oil. It doesn’t sound too bad.
10. The precision I bought was 37 Euros which my web converter recons is £27.36. If it was up for £19 that's a real bargain.
11. I didn't have much time to check it out last night, just plugged it into my small Boss guitar combo that was hiding in the lounge. Sounded fine but with new strings a bit too 'twangy' for my taste. I'm going to defret it and change the strings to flats. I have a project that needs this so I'm hoping for good things!
12. Ordered a deko HB precision on the 12th and it arrived yesterday. I can't find anything wrong with it. It feels really light but I haven't weighed it.There are two Ds stamped on the back of the body and on the neck. The action is set really low and does buzz a bit, nothing a few minutes adjustment won't fix. I wil defret it in the near future. Neck is much thinner than I remember for a precision. All in all a good buy for £37 delivered.
13. Hi, Thanks for the info, too busy doing other stuff! I've changed the links so they should now be correct. Regards, Doug
14. Hi, Just wanted to post about my recent experience with an Ebay seller. I recently did a rehearsal where my TC BG250 was humming like mad! I traced it around and found it was being caused by my Zoom B3 so I disconnected the Zoom. When I returned home I tested the B3 again and found some of my PSUs were causing the B3 to hum. I looked on Ebay for replacement PSUs and ordered 2 ZOOM AD-0006 AD-16 NOISE FREE REPLACEMENT POWER SUPPLY ADAPTER 9V 1A They were delivered but when I tested them and they hummed. I got in touch with the vendor: power4music power4music I received a very swift response saying: Hi, I am so sorry to hear the power supplies are generating a noise with the B3, we do have an alternative power supply which is usually more expensive (because they are linear like the official Zoom power supply) however I can send you 2 of these for free if you would prefer and there would be no need to send the other power supplies back. Let me know what you think. Hope this helps Kind Regards Rob Rob was true to his word, the new PSUs arrived and they are silent. Just wanted to share this. Regards, Doug

There's lots of copies available quite cheaply on ebay. Seem to work reasonably well, just don't expect hi quality. Cheers, Doug
16. Hi, Sorry should have posted earlier that my ticket has now gone. Cheers, Doug
17. Hi, I have to work this Saturday so my ticket is up for free. Send me a PM and I'll send it so you can print it. First come etc. Cheers, Doug
18. Hi, I have one that I grafted into a set of bass pedals. Works really well and does a passable impression of my old MK1 Taurus pedals. Cheers, Doug
19. I have an all black RV4 which I think is great. No problems with any part of it. It was the last of the last batch so I think had upgraded electrics. Looks good (to me) and sounds fine.

22. Hi, That looks really nice, much better finish than mine! We used my new pedals in rehearsal last night and they worked fine without any issues. Re boot times of your PC, I use Linux on all my PCs and I've been looking at using a Raspberry PI for some music related stuff. I use PIs at work and for the money they are fantastic. You can run them off a battery and they will run most Linux based applications. Boot times are quite quick, o.k. they don't have a fantastic ammount of power but for a specific job I think they may be a winner and only £28 a pop! Cheers, Doug
