1.
can you use the forscore app if you aren't connected to the internet (3g or wireless)?
Yeah, you drag & drop you pdf's into the app when connected to iTunes. I've never used it for anything online?
 2.
Been to Jam sessions where guitarists have used charts on i-phones....!
It's a lot different using a chord chart on an iPhone and trying the read sheet music on one.
 3. I use this app & it handles pdf's great. http://www.forscoreapp.com/ You can also get a foot pedal to change pages.
 4. This is what i use my iPad for. Expensive yes, but well worth it IMO.
 5. Rules are here, Its not very clear on the sale page, the links just below the main title. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=rules&f=19
 6.
Is this a USA, Mex, Jap? Serial number? Age? Thanks
Mexican, MZ8049090, Bought new in 2006 i think. May of been a bit later.
 7. Currently digging in to two Col Bruce Hampton tracks. Otiel Burbridge is on bass on the tracks and is absolutely killing it.
 8. Crappy iphone pics. I will get some better ones
 9.
One of these is on its way; it'll get me started without wasting vast sums of money
Nice one Bilbo, enjoy it
 10.
TBH I thought the 2 meant the same thing
Not technically. A 'Bass' Drum generally refers to the largest drum in an orchestra. A 'Kick' Drum is what you'd generally find on a drum kit. If the conductor asked for the bass drum & the guy on kit played his kick. He'd probably get a pencil thrown at him.
 11.
its a standard MAcBook so a little smaller than your pro...
If your worried about extra space, Mono are releasing a new case with more pockets pretty soon.
 12. Back on topic, Just got back from seeing these guys. As a collective, some of the best musicians i've seen. The amount of attention to detail taken in everything is truly masterful. If anyone has similar feelings to Siddx about the recordings, i strongly urge them to see these guys live before making a judgement. The best £10 i've spent in a very long time.
 13. Sold John a microphone, easy & pleasant deal.
 14. Bump, still struggling to get any decent pics in cloudy Manchester, i'll upload what i have this afternoon!
 15.
thanks for the comprehensive reply guys... what i really need is, something i can carry on my back, has pockets for a mac book, headphones, leads, etc.. its needs to be lightweight, but very sturdy.... if i dropped it from 3 foot the bass and contents would be ok,.. sort of sturdy.
Got to be the Mono case then.
 16. Can thoroughly recommend the mono case. It goes every where with me and i never worry about the bass inside. It's the lightest semi rigid case. It's water proof & has a proper tough base on it so its not going to wear through like many other bags do.
 17.
The way it links the last six 16th notes with one beam. I would want to see it as 2 16th notes and then 4 seperate ones. Coralling them as 6 notes makes it harder to read, IMO. But I can't amke Sibelius stop doing it. The only option would have been to write it as 5 bars of 3:4 which, for me, wasn't how I heard it.
I'm not sure what settings you have on your early version of sibelius but i'm assuming you still have the 'keypad'? The 3rd tab on the keypad has beaming options. 18.
Ps I don't like the format but Sibelius defaults to that and I can't figure out how to stop it doing that!!
What do you mean?
 19.
I don't think Jessie J counts as an artist..
Are you serious?
