4. HI, I bought it for £70, so somewhere around there i guess! Im not too anxious to sell until I have a replacement though!
 5. I'm after a realist for double bass, I have an underwood at the moment, which I'd be willing to trade, with cash adjustment etc... or I could just buy outright... Thanks, Pete.

 8.
I have a plywood jazz body i got from another basschatter which i was gonna use for a project but never did. its a creamy yelowish colour which has been drilled from the side for a side loaded jack. 8 inch speaker grill like the ones you get in maplins. hercules guitar/bass stand, wouldnt advise this for a jazz but a good little compact stand its this one. all this is free you just pay the postage (and maybe make a small donation to bc if you see fit
i'll take the stand if thats ok? thanks, pete.
 9.
I think you'd be hard to find a hiking bag that doesn't have a hip strap, yet I can't seem to find a DB soft case that does, despite my bass weighing about 10kg. The case that came with my bass is also attached at the top with a pair of metal rings, which just dig into your shoulders, a ridiculously poor design. On top of that, the straps feel like they're attached several too inches too low, so the bass smacks the bag of my legs as I walk (I'm 5' 8''). Does anyone know of a case that's actually ergonomic? If I had the capabilities I would rip the scaffold off an old hiking back and attach it onto the case.
I dont know of one, but If you found one I'd very interested!

 14. I'm after someone specialised really, as there are quite a few things that need doing. I checked the recommended luthiers thread, but it doesnt specify luthiers that deal with double basses, so not much luck there Anyone just over the bridge could be usefull too.. (bristol etc...)
 15. ahh, I didnt think of that, I'll check it out! I need a new bridge, maybe new fingerboard, anda few little thing putting right!
