1. I had this a while ago. Lent it to someone and never got it back, but I do remember it being pretty cool as are most things Danny Thompson does. If anyone can get hold of or supply a copy on DVD or format other than VHS please let me know
2. Hi This seems like either a great deal or a cheap bag that won't be much better than a canvas bag. Padded 12mm for £60 Does anyone own one of these or know about it http://www.normans.co.uk/p-654-stentor-34-size-padded-rayon-canvas-double-bass-cover.aspx cheers Adrian
3. Hi I have just sold a perfect condition Digitech Delay pedal on Evil Bay. Great feedback. 2 weeks later they want to return it as it has apparentlt developed an electrical fault and the result is that it is tripping their electric supply. I replied saying it was very unlikely that a 9v pedal could do that and that it was probably a fault with the psu they chose to use. Any thoughts? Apart from 'I should have sold it on BC' Ta Adrian
4. mmm... I found the voice over gets annoying very quickly and creates a cheesy 'feel' to the 'experience' man! I think people are better off reading the book and listening to Victor separately. Zen overload... The book is a good read but tends to get a bit much towards the end. IMHO of course
5. Just bought some flats from Steve. Fast postage and no problems. Very nice strings too Adrian
6. Can't afford it right now but would love on of these when I can
7. PM sent. I would like this pedal
8. I had one of these years ago and I loved it. Excellent amps, two channels and a great sound. Good luck with the sale

10. Thanks for the feedback. I have added some photos showing the original bridge (I added a jack plug for a music project) I did make an attempt ages ago to refinish the bass myself so it looks pretty good but I know this won't be as good as a pro finish
11. Anyone want to trade/swap something for my Peavey?
12. ABM 210 sold to Spluker. Enjoy the cab! Peavey TKO still here £60 Looks like Evil Bay for my trusty Peavey
13. I use a Shadow and an Underwood. The shadow is a bit better IMHO so I keep the Underwood as a spare There is a big difference between using a single pickup and a double like the Underwood. Some people say they use the Underwood with only one of the elements attached. I tried this and the sound changed dramatically. I couldn't get used to it, more woody, body, less sustain, so I have always been put off trying a BassMax. The Full Circle seems too much hassle as I don't have, need, or want a bridge adjuster fitted It seems that the proximity of the pu to the strings and bridge has a big influence on sound, Realist -; FullCircle -; Bassmax. But then using two elements makes another tonal change. I have read that some use two singles and blend them with a preamp. Recently I changed my Shadow twin element pu around, turned it the right way up, and the sound improved giving a bit less string and a bit more body to the sound. have you tried flipping your Bass max? Not sure if any of this helps but it is worth considering trying a twin element pu if you can borrow one for a while Adrian
14. Hi I have a Wilkes frettless bass. The neck is beautiful, with an ebony fingerboard and has those metal plates at the bottom. there is a pickup behind these plates and a soap bar type pickup on the body. The bridge is almost certainly not the original which left the low E string not really sitting over the pickup pole. I replaced the pickup years ago which helped. The bridge is one of those with small wheels to adjust the spacing. Are theses basses meant to have a narrow string spacing? Does anyone know whether original bridges can be purchased? Also, is it possible to have the body refinished as it has been a casualty of someone who liked stripping and painting things purple! (previous owner of course) I am thinking about selling it as I don't use it much anymore so want find out a bit more about what I have got and whether it is worth me fixing it up.
