1. PICS TO FOLLOW EMG's first active pups with exposed pole pieces if I remember rightly. Based on a set of 1960's L series pickups, meant to be quieter and a touch tighter on the bottom end. Active, they have push on harness connectors and are in the Vol/Vol/Tone configuration as you would expect. One of the battery wires has been cut, but this is a simple solder and tape fix. Think I have the box and instructions but I'll need to dig the out. £70.00 plus a fiver for postage. Cheers, Mart.
2. Bought a Hipshot BT2 from this fine lad. Ariived superfast and was well packaged. A pleasure to deal with.
3. Thats a USA cab. I personally think the B HLF and BSE HLF are some of the best cabs Ampeg ever made. bargain bump!
4. After months of searching in vain for a decent used P Bass body, I took a chance and bought a "repainted 1976 Fender Precision body" off Usa ebay. my heart sank when it turned up: The worst kind of rattle can respray, (inc cavities and neck pocket) and a small route out the back, "a battery compartment"....On closer inspection, its a nice weight, the contours are well cut and sanded and having nitromorsed the neck pocket, there are definite signs of the all important stamps...Fingers crossed and I'll keep you updated.
5. As a current Pedulla Buzz owner who wishes he had the dosh to buy yours, have a Sunday bump.
6.
Got a nice CIJ Precision here with some mods if you're up for it?
Any pics/specs? Cheers.
7.
...is that the easiest way to fly to the usa with a bass then? Buy it there? I like that idea! This is a total bargain bass btw!
Heres the story: I have a genuine 1971 Jazz in the Geddy spec. At the time, it was in pieces and in need of a respray. We had a bit of downtime and went to the shop for a mooch. They had a 72 in the same spec as mine. I played it through a couple of the amps they had set up. A salesman appeared and came out with some line like: "Great tone, its a combination of that Bass and the amp" (think it was an SVT). I got all uppity and reminded him that tone is also in the players hands. To prove my point, I took the Geddy off the wall and a/b'd it with the '72. Very close in tone and the Geddy felt and played better. The '72 was $4500, the Geddy was $700. It was a no brainer. Getting it home was easy: Took the neck off then put the lot in a folded over gigbag which I took on as hand luggage. I've brought a stack of basses to and from from the states, never been stopped or questioned....
8. Hi, whearabouts are you? I can get an accurate quote then. Based on past experience, postage will be around £20-30, I need to see if I have any kind of a case for it. The original hardcase is at my friends house in the usa. Cheers.
9. SOLD****CIJ Circa 2002-4 Fender Geddy Lee signature Jazz Bass. SOLD***** All original, in used condition, has marks and scrapes. Bought by myself from Chicago Music Exchange in 2011, this was my touring Bass in the 'States, (its actually the Bass in my avatar). Lovely skinny neck with super low action, usual Jazz trademarks with that wiry, growly tone. Looking for around £450, may be tempted to trade for something that stirs my interest. Based outside Liverpool, happy to post at buyers expense. I have extra pics showing marks on the body that I am unable to upload here. PM your email and I'll send them to anyone interested. Cheers.
10. Bump....bump.......bump. ......bump See what I did there?

12. Unfortunately, my first Bass was a late '70's Kay Precision copy. These Basses have NOTHING going for them. Its a miracle I carried on playing. My friends landlord bought the exact same model in the first picture, as an "Investment". Oh dear......
13. Used MXR 288 Octave pedal. Effect is intermittant at best and sound is distorted . Spares or repair. £30 + 5.00 postage
14. Akai Head Rush E2, 3 modes: Delay, tape delay and looping record. Standard input/outputs plus a further 5 effect outs, enabling the user to send signal to 5 amps simultaneously...Very trippy. Variable level and time in looper mode gives the user the ability to loop multiple overdubs. Also includes the usual "Tap tempo" option. Runs from a 9v power supply, has velcro strips from use with my pedal. Used condition but fully functional. £80 ono +£8 postage.
15. Try AGC Customs on ebay. They knock used and old stock parts. I bought a black P body off 'em for less than £40....(thats 40, not 400!).
16. I had the same issue with a lovely '78 P Bass. Rod was fine but the neck would react to temperature changes and bow backwards. I had it clamped and steamed once or twice which temporarily solved the problem, but in the end, it had to go. Its worth your while going to a decent Luthier to see what they may be able to do....
17. Side dots are were the frets would have been on mine.
18. Lots of great things out there to buy, no ones got any dosh though..Have a recession bump.
19. Lovely bass, unusual to see one with a rosewood board too! Have a Christmas bump.
20. Thoroughly nice lad to deal with. BT2 was well packaged, exactly as described and sent quickly. Cheers Paul!
21. Another Xmas bump. Still available for that last minute stocking filler.....
22. Hope it was his decision. My association with Andy goes back to the days when he was working for Kent Armstrong, when Kent moved back to the 'States, he recommended Andy as his natural successor to all his customers. Andy got off to a great start as not only was his work on a par with Kents, (as you would expect, having worked alongside him for all those years) but he was also cheaper and remained cheaper than the majority of the competition until he retired. I mean: A J Bass vintage SET for the price of ONE pickup from certain other UK companies...... Good luck Andy, enjoy your retirement.
