  8. My son has been teaching himself to play guitar and has my ancient Vox VT15 so he prefers to play through my Fender mustang GTX100 which sounds infinitely better. I've been thinking of getting him the smaller version, the GTX50 so he can get the same sounds in his room. I was browsing Andertons secondhand section on their website yesterday and saw a GTX50 at a price that was too good to click past. When I got to the checkout I realised I could get an additional £12 off by using the loyalty points earned when I bought my Squier CV LPB Bass VI. Result! I can't wait to see his little face when I surprise him with it (he's 21 btw)
  9. A lot of modern pop music sounds like AI to me due to the overuse and/or reliance on autotune. Its all very well AI being able to approximate R&B (rapping & bullshỉt) artists like Drake or Areola Grande, but I doubt it will be able to do a convincing song in the style of Led Zeppelin yet. Maybe AI will be able to 'unautotune' the vocals on the songs it makes, so we could potentially end up in the position where AI generated R&B (rapping & bullshỉt) songs will sound more human than a human in that style.

  12. These days I tend to I take two of my lovely mustangs to gigs. I have a choice of five. Last time it was The Daphne Blue JMJ as the main bass with the Capri Orange Classic Vibe as backup. On Saturday the Black JMJ will get an outing, and I'll probably bring the Orange Squier again as the spare, possibly getting it out for the soundcheck. The most basses I've taken to a gig was three when a previous band played a gig at London Zoo - Then I had an Active Jazz, a passive thunderbird and an electric upright. All three were played and the two guitarists brought (and played) seven guitars between them.
