  1. Do it again - The Kinks
  2. Do it again - Steeely Dan
  3. I have some nice guitars and a great modelling amp, but If I was demoted from bass to guitar in a band I'd push so hard against it, any metaphorical bridges would be in cinders.
  4. One uses a great big Marshall Half Stack that weighs a ton, and the other uses a Fender Combo about the size of my Fender Mustang GTX100 guitar combo but weighs about ten times as much.
  5. Nice! I have a red shortie Squier jag just like yours. It was my main gigging bass in my previous band. I upgraded mine with a Fender Hi-Mass bridge and the Yosemite PJ pickups & loom from a Fender American Performer precision.
  6. Dying Crabshooters Blues - Blind Willie McTell
  7. When I had a Dean Pace, my bandmates at the time referred to it as 'The Banister'
  8. Royal Blood? Right Royal Bloody Idiot more like...
  9. I'll have to dig out my B3 and have a play with it now
  10. bĭtch - The Rolling Stones
  11. Now I wanna Sniff Some glue - The Ramones
  12. I'd like a vintage mustang that is as good as my JMJs. Failing that a JMJ that skipped the relicing process on the production line.
  13. I use a Sylvester and Tweety Pie shopping bag from Tesco which cost about a quid. This holds all the bits & bobs I need. Before that I used a Minions one.
  14. Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash
  15. My board has the overdrive last in the chain, however I'm only using a few pedals - no pitch/delay/modulation etc. Mustang Bass -> [Boss TU-3 Tuner] -> [Boss SY-1 Synth] -> [SFX Thumpinator] -> [Boss LMB-3 limiter] -> [Boss ODB-3] -> Ashdown ABM 600 EVO IV The LMB-3 is always on (as is the thumpinator). The grit & dirt in my sound comes from the Amp, and the OBB-3 is used as an extra boost punched in when needed, and never when using the SY-1.
  16. I tried making my own mute once following instructions I found on the internet. I cut a good piece of sponge and put it under the strings but it sounded terrible. Also the jam & buttercream ruined my strings.
  17. its music outlet shop up to their usual shennanigans. I'm sure they know its junk that belongs in a skip
  18. I don’t really know a lot about Justin Meldal-Johnsen’s playing, but he certainly specs up a great mustang bass. I’m glad he wasn’t arrogant enough to insist on his signature being on the front of the headstock. I bought my JMJ mustangs due to them being great basses.
  19. See you later Alligator - Bill Haley
  20. Oh no - I baby my Waza Air Bass for fear of this kind of thing happening. It seems that with the design of the headphones and the case, it is almost inevitable. Although I'm fairly handy with most common soldering jobs, I don't think I would tackle this myself if mine went a similar way for fear of causing more damage. I would imagine that one of the chaps Roland recommend should be able to make an effective repair. I hope you are able to get it fixed and its not too expensive for you.
  21. Drinking again - Dinah Washington
  22. It isn't a tug bar, its a thumbrest
  23. I put a set of wilkos on my recently acquired classic vibe mustang bass where they are a definite improvement over the tuners that came on the bass.
  24. Knock on Wood - Eddie Floyd
