1. I dont know about most other models of Fender bass, but the JMJ mustang is a bit special and Fender mostly got everything right—certainly the feel and the tone are outstanding and none of my other basses come close. The price might seem high for what was originally designed to be a student instrument, but I'm seriously considering getting a black one to keep my blue one company.

5. It seems to work exactly the same as it was before the update. I've not had to reselect the transmitter yet.
6. Well, I did the update. My headphones are now at v1.3.0 and are still working perfectly. The update procedure did seem a bit unnecessarily convoluted though and it took a few goes for my MacBook to see the WAZA-AIR B drive.

9. I listen to beatles albums quite often, along with the Who and the stones. I wouldn't say any of them are my favourite band as that distinction changes from one week to the next. Lists of greatest this or that in magazines are usually unquantifiable nonsense to pad out a few pages and run ads alongside.
10. I love the way these ebayers are so opinionated:
8 string basses are an extremely versatile tool that every bassist should have in their arsenal.
er, no I don't even support Arsenal and I have no need for an eight string bass whatsoever.
11. I've had a few from voodoo decals which I have been very pleased with https://www.voodoo-decals.com/products/fender-vi-bass-gold?_pos=1&_sid=4b52c4bcc&_ss=r I've not tried crox guitars but have heard recommendations http://croxguitars.com/decalbass.htm

13. Amp/Cab manufacturers quit using fuzzy rat fur to cover cabs. Use tolex or tuffcab instead.
14. Leathergraft: make a bass version of the comfy suede guitar strap. Instead of 2.5 inches make it 3.5 inches wide. Also add some other colours of suede to the range - I'd definitely order ones in cream and daphne blue.
15. I'm loving my waza air bass headphones - they are the best practice aid I've ever had. There's a new system update available but it seems unneccesarily fiddly to install. Has anyone done this successfully without bricking £300+ worth of kit? https://www.boss.info/uk/support/by_product/waza-air_bass/updates_drivers/c97e9fa0-4cdd-40ca-8c91-f0607a2bbd22/
16. It won't fit as the pickups and controls aren't in the same location.
17. No The JMJ comes with 9050s which are long scale — they are designed for 34" scale basses so the wound part of the E string goes around the tuner post on mustangs. They work but are not elegant, and they have snot green silks. It just seems odd that Fender don't supply a 32" medium scale set when D'addario & LaBella sell medium scale stainless steel flats that fit perfectly but cost more than the Fenders.
18. Fender — make stainless steel .045 – .100 flatwounds like the 9050 set, but sized for a string-thru mustang bass. With Daphne blue or black silks please, and ensure the strings are all nice and smooth like LaBellas or Chromes.
19. I still wonder about the inspiration for the upper horn. Once it has been pointed out you can't unsee it.

23. Fender - how about a run of JMJ mustangs in pristine non-roadworn nitro, maybe with some new colour options
24. Loss of a Loved One - The Residents
