1. Also have to vouch for John's work. My main bass is a custom Shuker and I'm positive it will stay with me for life. Lovely piece of craftsmanship. For 1200 it's a steal.
  2. You wouldn't consider shipping it?
  3.
It might be sacrilege to say this, but if Jon Stockman wasn't the bassist in Karnivool, I probably would never listen to them. I think that I would nearly add Flea to this as well. I don't really like The Who that much either, but John Entwistle was fantastic.
Agree on The Who.. used to love them but realised they only have maybe 10 or so really good songs at best. Entwistle is great though.

    + 7 chord?

I'd associate the + with an augmented chord so, although I've never seen a Am+7 before, I'd suggest Am7b13?

    Soloing

Arpeggiate through the chord progression in all inversions all over the fretboard and then use these notes as target notes to start and finish your phrases. I find that this is also the easiest to learn a chord progression of a song.
  6. The 1962 was the nicest imo followed by the 72.
  7. Is that a set neck or neckthru? Beautiful bass.. seriously interested.
  8.
Sei and ACG would get my vote depending upon your taste... but... Psst... http://www.pavelmi.com/
Wow they make some fantastic looking basses. Have you tried playing them?
  9. Seems I have to contact ACG thanks for your suggestions!
  10.
+1 for ACG. Your best bet is to get in touch with Alan, tell him what you're looking for and he will give you an idea of the cost. Top bloke to deal with and really helpful.
Thank you. Also currently looking at Shuker, seems like stunning basses.
  11. Christ that is a thing of beauty. I'm seriously considering ordering one. Has anyone got a lot of experience with Shuker that they'd like to share?
  12.
I'm more than happy with my ACG SC Harlot - the electronics are up there with the best of them. Asymmetric neck is really easy to play and the choice of timbers is excellent. Alan is a really nice fella (met him at this weekend's LBGS) and is happy to discuss any issues you might have. There are a couple of threads available in different parts of the forum - you can start in "Affiliates" and "Build diaries". Here's a sample of his work: I'm not sure where about's in London you are but if you can get to Hatfield you're welcome to come and try..
Wow that certainly looks different to anything else I've seen. I'll have a look, thanks . How much did that set you back by the way? I should've probably mentioned my budget is around £3500.
  13. Hi, I've been wanting to invest in a custom single cut bass, however I can't seem to make up my mind on what company to go with. My initial thoughts was to go with Elrick as they seem to be very high quality basses that are also affordable (something like a Fodera sadly isn't). However I've also heard high praises for Sei basses, Adamovic and so on. Was wondering if someone who's had experience with buying a custom bass could maybe recommend a great, affordable company. Cheers.
  14.
you know you can change the string spacing with that bridge?
I know I know would probably have a lil fiddle with it if I had an allan key
  15.
Great price mate, heaven forbid if should ever need to sell my 90 Thumb, i would never let it go for anywhere near that figure Let us know how you get on!
Getting on well with it! The string spacing may be a bit weird but I'm not too sure, maybe I'm being fussy. Just got new strings delivered today and it sounds even better now! Loving the through neck.
  16. Definitely a bargain! I hate my Rumble 30 but a 100 for £50 quid would be a good buy I'd think.
  17. Got this for £847 in the end. Pretty good deal if you ask me. The bass itself seemed in very good condition and I shall go pick it up tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help and happy easter!
  18.
Always be wary of what Warwick tell you about older instruments, i know there's at least one forum member who knows alot more In terms of things to look out for, its anything you would normally look for when considering an abandoned instrument in a possibly cold/damp place.
Yeah will do. Luckily I live pretty close to the guy so shouldn't be a problem checking it out beforehand. Thanks for your help.
  19.
Lovely bass and possibly one of the most desirable years but I would physically check it out before parting with your hard earned cash. Statements like "has been in the loft for 3-4 years untouched" sends alarm signals ringing. Its the worst place in the world to keep a bass - too hot in summer - too cold and maybe damp in winter. I'm not saying it has suffered because of this but just be careful.
What would be things to look out for? I don't know my Warwicks very well.
Not sure where you got the info from re. serial numbers but that bass is absolutely kosher (no idea about the seller, simply commenting on the bass as seen in the photographs). If you feel more comfortable dealing with a BC member and don't trust ebay (sellers) then I'd go with your instincts.
Straight from their website!
  20.
hard to say, i would have said about that. If it does go above that why not just go for the one on here? 1991-1996 will maybe be slightly different but not really
Exactly. In fact I'll probably go for the one here even if the one on ebay is slightly cheaper. Just seems more of a safe buy.
  21.
yes depending on the final price
How much do you think it's worth going up to? Keeping in mind there's a 96 on here for £1.1k.
  22.
91 will have it at the top too
I see! Thanks. Worth going for then?
