1. I always have to post when I see something about Wunjo. So far I've bought 2 USA Jazz deluxes (4&5 string) so around £2700ish plus accessories like strings and hercules holders - the reason? Because of the great, friendly, not-overbearing service, and their ability to match internet prices. Laurence always recognises me too and greets me warmly like an old friend, telling me to play what I like and giving me space. I'm so glad other people are having such positive experiences too. Thank christ we have a bass store in Denmark St now which is customer service savvy. I would always go out of my way to travel into London to give them my custom as I'm so pleased with their service. I think if you've had a great experience, let them know via email - I'm sure management and the staff involved would really appreciate it. "][email protected]
2. I've got a cheaper DB to offer but not sure I could make up the shortfall, especially after buying an imac. Tricky.
3. This, and the five string version are my main basses. Tremendous instruments!
4. I think knowing arpeggios inside and out is critical to outlining harmony on the fingerboard. US bassist Todd Johnson has got improvising lessons for sale (music on PDF and videos) which I think is a brilliant starting point as it deals with arpeggios and scalic figures.
5. It certainly sounds nice but don't be fooled - a lot of processing has taken place. It's clearly quite strongly compressed and the lead vocals have been obviously (and to my ears, unmusically) autotuned. Quite unnatural sounding, particularly the higher parts.
6. Hi everybody! I am a player/teacher in Chelmsford, Essex teaching from my home where I am well set up with a home studio - I like to use custom made backing tracks, drum loops, recording and multi-instrumental accompaniment to enhance my teaching. Please see my teaching page on my website http://www.mikemcgibney.com/teaching/ to learn a bit more. I look forward to hearing from you! Please email me through the website, or PM on here! My number is also on my website. Thanks! Mike
7. I loved it. Brilliant. Thanks for the link.
8. Thanks for the tip Owen. That seems like a great deal. It is extremely heavy though!
9. [s]£75 [/s]now £50 Hi everyone, Here is a flight case for long scale basses - extremely hardwearing (and heavy) it is perfect for shipping/touring or someone gigging regularly. Pictured inside is my 5 string USA Jazz dlx - not included! Great condition. Just too big and heavy for my use! No world tours coming my way at the mo. Got to be picked up really, it's so big and heavy. Only £75 - surely a bargain considering the prices I've seen new. I'm in Chelmsford, Essex. Right on the A12 which is J28 of the M25. Could even meet somewhere for a bit of diesel money. Regards Mike
10. I can now ship this - I have a fitted cardboard case so will ship in UK at buyer's cost!
11. Hi there, here is an Allparts jazz neck I used on a 68 jazz for a bit (it was a fretless and I wanted to use it as a fretted bass). It's in pretty good condition - scuff on 3rd fret, dent on 14th fret. some rubbing marks on the headstock along the edge in 4 areas (see pics) but not really too visable from the front. £55 shipped. Or £50 picked up from Chelmsford, Essex. Can do bank transfer or paypal gift. Cheers! Mike
12. I wanted to come and see Andi but unfortunately I was in Tunisia. I was the house bass player for the gig when Elmer took it over years ago (from Mick Hutton I think) and I do the odd one now and then. A lot of my buddies play there (Simon Hurley, Albert Garza, Zak and Holly Barrett, Dan Banks, Andy Staples etc) so I'm there pretty frequently. We know a lot of the same people and it's high time we met Rob!

14. I just spent another £1300 in Wunjo. Great service as usual.
15.
. I must admit that I tend to use them either wide open or completely closed and don't do much in between
I'm exactly the same when I play precisions (rare!)
16. Cheers. It's a great bass. I'll take a close offer on the asking price!
17. Just listening to it again, his ability for memorable and catchy melodic lines is evident here. After listening to that four bar idea a couple of times it is clearly in my memory now. Great post, thanks!
18. Cool! Definitely see the impact of Jamerson on his playing there.
