Sean's Feedback

Bought a MXR chorus from Sean. No hassle, quick postage. As others have said, deal in confidence.
  3. After having used, and breaking a lot of stands over the years - including all the Hercules models, I now use these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Support-GS1000-Premium-Guitar/dp/B001KF1F12 great and sturdy stands.
  4. If they'd had a tobacco burst 1025x, it'd be mine now.
  5. Drop http://basschat.co.uk/user/40033-cameronj/ a line, I think he's after one.

  7. Guys, there a BS2 in the for sale section. Get it quick!
  8.
Best fuzz on the market, glwts.
+1 to that, this is the nuts! Super synth fuzz goodness. I spotted one of these on the Bay last week which was up for £450 😲, so good price too.
  9.
Ah yes, my mistake, I skim read and thats what I thought. I saw the SY300 when it came out and thought it was interesting, but there wasn't much information on its performance with bass. ANd also having the GR55 already, I had explored that avenue a bit, although obviously the convenience of not having to put the GK pickup on would be good.
The tracking appears to be very good, better maybe than the GR-55 even. This chap seems to have it working very crisply, not sure I'm that keen on the actual sounds though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvzEVazR4Uo
  10.
I have the behringer clone, it sounds fine. Not the same as a keyboard though. I also have the GR55 synth, but again, its a different sort of thing.
I assume you are thinking of the Boss SYB-5 that you have the Behringer clone of, the post above is asking about the Boss SY300: http://www.soundonso...ews/boss-sy-300 Quite a different product.
  11.
Might be a silly question but anyone tried the Boss SY300 (if like me, not really wanting to add to my gear carrying with keyboards/stands etc...)? http://www.soundonso...ews/boss-sy-300
I'll be honest, I've not tried the SY300 and judging by the demos, it does look good. That said, the approach I'm now taking is - If you want to sound like a Synth, use a Synth. Rather than trying to make my bass 'sound' a bit like a Synth. As I've also said previously, I'm really enjoying the challenge of getting to know and use a different instrument.
  12. EHX OM sold and Bump for the rest/offers?
  13.
I've just gone through the course - very good. And free which is always welcome. Now, if you have a couple of hours to burn: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rrn1T9tpljo
Ah, yes - already watched that before I even had then BS2.
  14.
Yes, now just the issue of how you stand these things up when you are playing - some kind of a small but not flimsy keyboard stand that doesn't take up much space. What do other people use?
I've been using this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tiger-KYS21-BK-Adjustable-Keyboard-Stand/dp/B002GOHCOA its not perfect, but it is cheap and safer than the usual X-type keyboard stands.
  15.
They do come up quite often so you shouldn't be waiting long. Although as you are in that there london aren't there loads in second hand instrument shops and london gumtree? THere were certainly none near me but when I was looking for Sub37s before I talked myself out of them, well over half were local pickup only in london.
I'm in London too and it took me little while to find mine. I was hoping to get one with that case, which might be the reason it took a little longer. Ended up getting a mint, boxed BS2 with the Novation soft case for £255. 👍
  16. Just completed this: https://soundfly.com/courses/synth-bass-for-bass-players Really helpful information on the instrument and many helpful tips too.
  17.
Loving all the BSII love (i'm a Novation employee for the sake of transparency). Unofficially (because it's 3rd party paid content), check out Darrell Freeman's excellent patch-pack aimed at bassists. Obviously these sounds work in other octaves, but my understanding is that Darrell specifically designed the sounds in our octaves www.synthbass.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlbbvTGNw6o Cheers Si
Nice one Si, I'll check that out.
  18.
I'm also looking into getting hold of a synth and the Bass Station 2 looks as though it will meet my needs. I'm trying to achieve this... I assume that the BS2 will give me this sound and that I can't do this with a pedal? I also need to replicate this sound... Thanks in advance.
Yep, the BS2 will nail those sounds and you can use the arpeggiator to get the fast 16ths.
  19. Wow! lovely. GLWTS
  20. Best Bass Wah you can buy and great price, this won't be here long.
  21.
Future impact synth bass pedal. In excellent condition. I will also include a brand new Roland um1 midi cable
I wondered how long that would take. GLWTS
  22.
Hey Noir, have you tried powering your BS2 off of a pedalboard power supply? It should be doable as it takes a standard 9v centre negative input and only draws 300mA.
No, good to know incase the supplied PSU fails. Cheers
  23.
Have you considered Industrial Radio? Steve Chick has developed the systems originally in the Wal MB4 and Peavey Cyberbass and marketed them under his own brand.
I sure have, prohibitively expensive for me though. I'm only using it for the odd section or song, and the BS2 sounds bang on. Plus, I'm really enjoying having to play/learn a different instrument. I should clarify that I have tried before this a VB-99, GR-55, Deep Impact, Future Impact, Korg G5, plus a myriad of other pedals.
