    I was tempted down a similar road a while back. I was using a an Apogee Gio and found the whole mapping process a bit daunting/confusing/tedious/frustrating. When I added to that the thought of using the MacBook at gigs where there's no stage and the punters are right on top of where the band is set-up, I decided against it. But I totally understand the temptation because there are some really usable FX in there.

Cheers [/quote] I do, as it happens. The bass weights about 9lbs 6oz give or take an oz or two. The neck dimensions are exactly the same as the Skyline Duck Dunn model (the candy red ones with bound and blocked fingerboard). The Duck Dunn model is/was a hybrid of a Bob Glaub body with a Joe Osborn neck, and then they made it all pretty with the red and the inlays and binding 'cause that's the way the Duck rolled.

    Bass is now sporting a new set of roundwounds and I played it all gig long Saturday night. It was outstandingly good. If it doesn't go in the next few days I think I will be withdrawing it from sale.
