  1. I quit my subscription to Guitar n bass magazine when they went digital only and wanted to unleash hundreds of trackers on me - Im not on Facebook for the same reasons - although I sure would like to be cos of Headfirst amplification - Aussie valve amp specialists - but they don't have a forum they have a Facebook users group or whatever you call it - but a great tube channel
  2. Im using safari - on the vendors list all the boxes were unticked
  3. err sorry - should have been binky bass damned auto spell
  4. Hi winky bass - I think if you want jack ( @dewww) to reply you may need to ask it in the sub section set up by kiwi the one headed - Introducing Ezoic - the sub section is at the top of the page on the right hand side - originally jack said he was open for questions for 7 days - maybe he will still reply
  5. I just re-read what atsampson wrote near the bottom of page 1 he says we would need to tick all those boxes to stop them and he says his job is in this field - so he should know I guess
  6. ah ok - so I looked at the vendors list - loads and loads and loads of them - these boxes didn't have ticks - they had a plus sign to the right of them really not sure if I would need to tick each one to stop them or leave them unticked - if I need to tick them it would take a very long time I didn't click onto the other column - probably another long list of god knows what
  7. Interesting - so dad3355 went though and unticked boxes - so I am on safari - all the boxes didn't have ticks - does it mean I have to tick them to stop them as atsampson states ? also I wasn't automatically logged in - anyone else not automatically logged in ?
  8. Well - just read this whole thread - gotta say Ugly Dogs reply on page 6 is absolutely spot on - yep god I love this place too
  9. Hi bassers - it appears that I was the only one to ask questions to jack from Ezoic - which he answered I would be very interested to hear what Dad 3353 can see over in France when the ads are switched on again on Wednesday - lived over there for 9 years myself - but mainly to see if there is a difference to what we see here in UK with this common market departure , rules and regs seem to be a bit up in the air at present
  10. Well I went and asked some absolutely basic questions on that new sub forum set up by kiwi just to get it started cos - jack(Ezoic) seems to have said there is a week of his time to answer questions So if anyone else has some more advanced questions to ask him - you only have a few days left it seems
  11. Hi - I have just asked some questions on that sub forum to Jack
  12. Checked Hellzeros post - yes utterly deliriously amazing how many there are - don't know if anyone from ezoics has actually signed in to discuss anything but I doubt it - probably all run by robots - which would go a long way to explaining why the 1st ad I saw taking up the whole centre of the page was for knickers and handbags robots do not have ethics or morality - they are designed to sell anything to anyone - I don't think it is at all compatible with this community
  13. I agree about the supporting members not getting adverts - however I still don't want all those bodies tracking me - what I want is to be able to refuse tracking - I did a quick click on there to see how many there were - but as soon as I saw all the ones beginning with A and scrolled down - B was a long way down - so it means they are probably in the hundreds rather than the tens - I don't want to need to turn off all those every time - its not good enough . I am happy to become a supporting member even if it is more expensive than 20 quid if it means getting rid of all that nonsense.
  14. Ok - so I have a Washburn active bass - bolt on - the neck is just too thin for me - it cost very little in local cash converter - the idea is to see if the screw hoes line up - they look like a very similar pattern - I just kinda want a headless to use so I don't knock the drummers cymbals so much lol - my favourite stingray is getting too heavy now so is the neck nice and D more like a Warwick than thin C like certain Ibanez and what I have - if it is nice and round I will come and have a look (with cash) lol
  15. May be interested in this - is the end of the neck designed to hold the ball ends of the string ? or is it a string lock mechanism for cut off strings
  16. Well - I saw the pop up last night when I entered the site - I did not click "got it" absolutely not - don't want it - don't want any tracking on me - very unhappy about this adverts all over the place - in the middle of the screen - between the written lines - totally unacceptable so then I'm no longer logged in - wtf - so does this mean that if I don't agree to their "got it" then there are consequences I am not a supporting member , but would be happy to become one if it meant getting rid of this nonsense if this is the way its going then I'm out - shame really like this site - the members are great - lots of interesting stuff to read have bought nice stuff here - but tracking me and filling the page up with ads NOOO
  17. Lovely- just lovely ! I have a similar age one too - also not epoxy - the only difference is the epoxy not the pre-amp . absolutely wonderful sounding bass
  18. Hmmmm - very interesting so you ended up with the Fender 8 x 10 cab I have a Genz Benz 8 x 10 Uber cab here in storage only just read this thread now , maybe you would like to have tried it maybe you would still like to try it - Im only down the road in Cardiff
  19. Haha yes - I already have one that I really like - been using it with a 2 x 10 but have been keeping weather eye out for another glad the gas is relieved
  20. Hmmm I had a quick look around online and came across a old picture of another one for sale it looked identical except for a big 16 where you have an 8 - also came across different ones made for Eden by Eminence £29.99 new at Gear for music - who I think own Eden now I had read that Eden and SWR had used the same speakers at certain times - but that a company called PAS made the early SWR ones - couldn't find anything about PAS
