1. I have a lm2 for sale for £280 delivered. Amazing amp. Tiny and very very loud.
2. Just looked at the band on YouTube. Fun group but I hope you won't do the flea style intro to higher ground. Could hear the crowd talking over it!
3. Ignore the last post- a senior moment!!
4. Hi Pal- sorry I have bought a new combo instead. The LM 2 is a markbass head, not an Ampeg- super reliable- selling this for £280 delivered. Hardly any use at all.
5. Everyday People by Sly and the family stone. One note.
6.
Yea i supported both Mud and Sweet on numerous occasions, Les became unrecogniseable and Brian had to be almost carried on stage
Yep I was a pro bassman at the time and seeing Brian trying to walk into the venue was bad enough. For that reason never saw any of their sets. To be honest this was another reason for me to get a "proper" job.
7. There's loads of clever pedals you could buy but you don't need them. Cut your bass eqs ( those on the left of graphic ) and cut the high frequencies. ( those on the right ). Add volume and you'll be there. Sounds to me as though your eq is a little scooped. It'll sound ok just the bass but in a band mix you'll disappear.
8. Will you take markbass lm2 as px and will you courier it? Sent a Marshall vba to Italy previously with no problems.
9. Would you take a lm2 markbass as px and will you courier it. I sent a Marshall vba to Italy with no problems.
10. Would you take a px with a lm2 markbass and will you courier this? Sent a Marshall vba to Italy and that was easy enough.
11. I have a Peavey 210 tx you could have had for like £40. Had it for years- could probably survive an atomic bomb. Weighs as much as my Hartke 4 x 10!
12. Bought a Rothwell Compressor from Harry- great comms- great pedal exactly as described- superfast delivery- top guy!!
13. Yeah I suppose in the past it was all about volume. Now the tech is so much better the audience can actually hear what a bass player should sound like. Would have loved the gear I have now-then. Brilliant for a pro player now, in every way, gear, communication over social networks. Having an iPod would have changed my life!
14. Loved larry and loved Ellie Goulding. Nothing wrong with her voice at all. Her voice is very stylised - seemingly weak - but not really. Great band too. Inventive.
15. Interesting post this. I have had loads of rigs - from what used to be described as compact ( rediculously heavy trace combo ) to what was described as normal ( ampeg v4b and 2 x15 cab "where are you playing, wembley?'" people used to say. Never really got into effects too much - had the odd pedal to two I admit. After going through loads of changes - Marshall vba and 4 x 12 ( what a rig ) settled on a markbass / Schroeder rig. Now use a hartke lh1000 and 4 x 10. Bit old school but together with my pedalboard this rig will do everything. Loud enough for anywhere and fantastic tone. Miles lighter than the average rig I have used. However I do agree with dood - the sound is in your fingers - but you have to get this to the audience. When I was pro I couldn't give a monkeys about my tone and It was all about convenience. Now it's about fun, tone and musical chops- but not in that order.
16. Sorry pal. I have a hartke lh1000 for main rig. Really looking for a full valve rig or quality pedals.
17. Might px this / trade for some good quality pedals or a retro valve amp/combo, however expensive- Ampeg- Marshall etc etc
18. Looked everywhere for this box. House being refurbished so can't put my hands on it. May turn up but might not.
19. Do they normally come in the original box? If they do- yes I have them. Box in loft I think.
20. Hi All You all know what these are- very light, super reliable, extremely loud and very warm amp. Had this from new. Just a couple of minor scratches on top- this had had a very easy life. Only selling as bought a combo. Only really used this for home practice for the last couple of years. Probably done 20 gigs max. £300 delivered.
21.
That's not quite right as we're all better than each other at a lots of different things. It's when you don't give people respect because they are not as good as you. Strive to be the best and celebrate when you are the best but remember you weren't always, and won't always be, the best.
Wasn't this thread about mustang Sally.
