1. Hi All I am selling my Warwick Thumb NT 5 as I have bought a very expensive DB and this Warwick hasnt been used for ages. I bought this new from Electro Music in Doncaster about 4 years ago. This is a great example, lovely tone- very powerful EQ. Beatiful Bass. Very very easy to play. Comes with a thick strap ( you`ll need it! ) Top of the range Warwick this one- I paid £2400 for it!! Will be sad to see it go but I dont use it- never gigged with it- ( I now play 4 strings so it doesnt get any use at home either.) I think I am at my download limit as have a few other basses for sale on here so will upload photos later. I am near Hull so anyone welcome to try it out. Any questions please PM me.
2. Hi All Now £650!! Here we have my Sunburst Jazz Roadworn. Great Bass this one. Very low action, light, lovely tone and superb to play. I really like the look of this one. I have another Roadworn for sale, but will be keeping whichever doesnt sell. I think this one is a better looking bass than my Fiesta Red one, but that one just pips this for playability. This seems to have a little chunkier neck profile ( still nowhere near a P though!! ) Only selling as I have bought a rediculously expensive Hofner Upright- compared to DBS these Fenders are cheap as chips!! I am near Hull so welcome people trying this one out. One of the best Jazzes I have played. Delivery is extra though people!! Any questions please let me know.
3. Hi All Here we have my Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass Now £650!! The best Jazz I have played- bar none- ( and i have played lots in my 36 yrs bass career!! ) Superb Tone, really low action, straight neck. Lovely bass to play, very quiet for a Jazz. Quite light too. Im not too bothered about the relic thing but this bass has lots of Mojo- had lots of great comments about it. The main thing is how it plays- absolutely terrific. Has a set of pretty new Roto 45s on it. I have posted four of my basses to sell, one which is a Sunburst Roadworn. This Fiesta Red one is slightly better in playability, really the same tone and action etc. I think this one has a smaller neck profile, thats all. I do prefer the Sunburst look, though- you can tell more easily that its "roadworn". I will be keeping one of the Roadworns, whichever doesnt sell. To be honest if my Warwick sells first I will be keeping all three. I live near Hull and welcome people coming to try this out- ( and the others for that matter) Can arrange delivery at buyers expense.
4. Good one Pete. Looks like the db mob are out in force. Just bought a hofner db myself after eub hell!!
5. Hi all Looking for an upright and have been offered a paesold hofner for £2000. Carved spruce etc. not a ply bass. All set up, new strings, adjustable bass and generally restored. Sounds great and has a lovely neck. I play mostly rock n roll and swing- some jazz. 35 yrs on electric- upright novice but not too bad. The bass comes from a dealer. Peter at Beverley music centre. Is this. Good deal?
6. That is the coolest looking combo I have seen for a while.
7. Dont- just dont! As the killer would say-Theres a whole lot a farting going on!!
8. Ive got a LH1000 in the same Stagg plastic flight-thing. Agree it is much bigger than I thought- I had to take off the rubber feet too.- I stuck pipe insulation in the gaps both at the bottom and top to give it a bit of a hand with the weight. Though I`m sure the thing is fine in there anyway. I stuck some mastic on the bottom of the case and covered this with Gaffa- now it doesnt slip off my cab or move about. Very cheap, handy bit of kit really.
9. I have loads of basses- and amps- and effects- seem to build up over time- I have explained to my lovely wife that, as I have to declare my band earnings that they all are a tax deductable business expense, therefore spending more on them means I will pay less in tax. Our last tax bill shocked my mrs to the core so she likes this idea. Still a bit surprised that she doesnt moan about the three rediculously expensive motorbikes in the garage- or our three cars- ect ect
10. No love for this amazing boutique, quiet quality tone weapon?
11. The band I'm in- 7 piece soul band uses ab Fbt versus system. With two bass bins either side and two mids/tops each side. About 4k in total. Really good punchy sound but a bit fiddly to set up. Don't think these are designed for bands probably duos etc. We use a machine 1608 mixer- the one that uses an iPad wirelessly. This is the part of our rig that has revolutionised our sound and set up. Two mackie erm 450s for monitors. Set up in 30 mins.
12. Played lots of fives for many years. Now I have gone back to fours I realise those extra 5 notes are really not needed. Octaver chaps?
13. I can honestly say re the last video that I haven't seen or heard anything quite like it. Seems an enthusiastic sort of chap though. Quite like him
14. I've seen loads of good bass players. Brilliant ones - you could say these are the ones the crowd notice, not so many. I've never seen a Jamerson or Jaco, but I know they ar the tiniest minority.
15. Superb Mid EQ pedal- absolutely as new boxed with instructions. Loads of info on the net for these- proper high quality- built like a tank- tiny too. http://ews-us.com/item_bassmid.php £125 delivered- UK only sorry
