  1. Does anyone know the size of the screws? I'm thinking of changing the E string ones back to the groove poles as they have been changed at some point to ones where you have to use an Allen key
  2. Thanks everyone, I ended up getting a metal file from homebase and sanded down the bits down. Seems to have done the job, although the first one I did was upside down..... So I have been trying to make a bit of a groove in it so I can use a screwdriver like with the other saddle poles if I need to adjust it in the future
  3. I've tried putting the cover back on too but it gets in the way when I play
  4. So after doing some work on my G3 I've managed to lower the strings to a better position. There was an old Gibson pick under the neck being used as a shim so I got that out. It plays even better now. But the only problem is my hand is now getting pretty scratched up by the saddle poles sticking out loads on the top. What's the easiest and best way to sort this out? The E poles aren't original so use the Allen key to adjust unlike the other 3 which needs a flat head screwdriver. Any advice would be great, thanks!
  5. There is an ashdown 8x10 that is about £300 brand new online, saw it the other day and got me thinking.....
  6. My pedals aren't really that noisy, the one that broke wasn't isolated, but all plugged into the same box. I have seen those ones on eBay just not sure if I should get that or the Harley benton
  7. Ah ok I didn't know that. I would say I would go for it but need more than 5 points, but looks like HB do one for £33 with more power points. Thank you though! https://m.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_powerplant.htm
  8. Also want it with a UK plug, my last one had to have an adaptor on it
  9. Any ideas? Mine has just died so need another one. Looking for one with at least 9 pedals being plugged into it. I dont mean the plug where the wire daisy chains, I mean where all your pedals plug into a power box. I've seen a lot of the same power boxes on ebay but a bit wary about them Thanks
  10. I did get it, sounds good and is really easy to play. Couldn't fault the finish or build in any way. So I'm really glad I got one, definitely is easier to play than my previous Fender Mike Dirnt basses, which were the original version. Thats not to say they aren't good, I would say for the price save money and get the t-rod over the fender. Looking at it, it's exactly the same apart from the name on the headstock!
  11. I really like it, love worn/relic basses and guitars!
  12. Any ideas how to make the BSW louder than it is? I've got it on a loop in a boss ls2, so goes, ls2, bsw, envelope filter, big muff and back to ls2. I've got a slightly dirty signal running through it. When I click the octave mode on the bsw it seems to lose a bit of volume. So I want to boost that without effecting the overall volume of the chain. Any ideas would be lovely jubbly!

The aging round the pickup was also there before the scpb3 went in. The little red/black bit next to the pickup is my DIY thumb rest, made out of small piece of yoga matt screwed in The first picture isn't directly straight on, otherwise my mug would have made it into the picture! [/quote] I've decided that I'm going to strip the finish and use purple wood stain on it. I've seen the hand stained Fenders and think they look good so that's my inspiration!
  14. Would I have another v6, probably not. Would I have another solid state/pre amp valve trace, definitely
  15. I had a V6. Super heavy. When it worked it sounded great. But over time it wasn't reliable and the sound just got thinner and thinner. I've had 1 non valve trace head the ah3007, brilliant amp and never had a problem. Had one of the newer trace ah6007 which again was great but had a small issue with a crackling noise
  16. If it helps, mine is great I love it!
  17. Got a pedal off Cliff, no problems at all and super quick to deliver. Thanks! Mark
  18. I've literally just been offered one, so assuming it all goes through I won't need yours, but if things don't work out I'll let you know. Thanks

  20. Fanned frets and obvious wood joins are two I really don't like
  21. Grr they have cancelled my bid and taken it off as it hadn't moved from £30
