I would say mine definitely has more low end than those examples and not as much highs

I've got the micro pog and the octave up, for me, is perfect! No delay, no weird tones etc

I've got the HB Tbird and I think it's great. Never had a Tbird before, so initially getting used to the position of the neck was different and reaching passed fret 16/17 is tricky, but I like the sound I'm getting from it. For the price I think it's great!

I tried watching the video but the sound was so quiet that I couldn't make anything out. Just thought of a way to solve my problem.... Bass into Micro Pog, then a lead from the effect only split to two, one goes to the EQ pedal and the other say to the big muff then another 2-1 splitter?

So I got the Chord, sadly it's bad news. It hardly tracked at all and when it did it was glitching badly. I think I'll stick with the POG for now. When the pog is engaged with the big muff it seems to lose some definition in terms of the top end fuzz. How could I give it a bit more top end but still with only one signal and not effecting the fuzz tone without the octave? I've got an eq pedal and a tuner with output and bypass, is there anything I can do so when I engage the pog it has say the eq pedal already on? Hope that makes some sense lol

Hopefully the chord will arrive tomorrow, I'll say how I get on with it. If it's no good then I'll check out the others mentioned I briefly had an oc-2 before but sold it on as at the time I wasn't playing much

Ok so I tried out 3 pedals, Ehx Octave multiplexer Mooer Octave Modtone Deep Dive Octave The mooer was shockingly bad, loads of options but none sounded anything like I need. The modtone was a step up from the mooer but still was glitching everywhere The ehx was sadly a bit of a let down, it too glitched a lot and got pretty muddy. I'll take a shot with the Chord oc-50

I'm going to try out the ehx multiplexer octave in a shop and if I'm not sure on that I'll give the Chord oc-50 a go!

So what is a good inexpensive octave pedal? I have a Ehx micro pog but I don't like the octave down sound, it sounds like I'm playing through a sock. Octave up is great though. So what's good, cheap and tracks the best for not a lot of £££? Only looking for 1 octave down, no dry sound and that can handle a bass big muff too Thanks

Well the wiring kit arrived and was fitted within 10 minutes. The fitting is very similar to a stereo, put the stripped wire into the hole, then using one of the tools provided, screw down a screw and done. I'm loving how easy this was to fit, the series/parallel switch is great, makes it sound so much better. Really pleased it looks good too! Quality is really good as well!

Got a Jazz wiring kit off John, stacked CTS pots with variable tone and a parallel/series switch. It's great quality and really has given the bass a good umph that it lacked before. Dispatched Tuesday arrived and fitted Wednesday. Thanks a lot John for everything, including the history behind the different pots! Mark

Thanks again everyone. I've had plenty of p basses before and actually have a classic vibe 50s p I've ordered a wiring loom from KiOgon, stacked pots with separate tones and a series/parallel switch so excited to see what it'll sound like!

I need a bit of advice in terms of getting a better sound from my jazz bass, with the two volumes up to max I find that I like that sound however it really feels like it is lacking. I've tried backing off each of the pickups separately but I find it looses what I'm after. I've tried backing off the tone a bit too and it's still the same problem of lacking something. It's a J&D Jazz, I use a micro ampeg cl so only has bass mid and treble controls and mainly play through my headphones. My G3 and other basses sound good through this set up and they don't seem to lack anything like the Jazz. So what are my options here? Thanks

My knob was always falling off my old pbass so I left it off then eventually hid the pot under the scratch plate

After hearing that in RATM Tim apparently uses two wah pedals one set to low and the other set to high, this got me thinking about another combination. What about two bass big muffs? One set lower and the other set higher, both with a medium amount of gain?
