    Just as an update, I've got a mix of Green Day, Anti-Flag, Weezer and Muse at the moment all played with my Gibson G3 and for a few songs using my EHX Bass Big Muff

    Nice! Surf green is such a good colour as well as Daphne Blue, so with the pickups reversed does it really beef up the D and G like they say?

    Russ had my Ibanez acoustic bass off me, no issues at all and was really understanding about there being a delay with the courier actually delivering the bass. Quick at replying as well which is always handy! Thanks mate

    They were the courier UK side of me ordering a G3 from US eBay, they didn't even bother trying to deliver they just returned it to the sender. Definitely won't ever use them, they flat out lied to me at the time and said they didn't have a package in my name or address.

I don't think I spotted that, there was a 70s p that looked to have a single coil, but to be honest I was in tunnel vision just looking for a G3 that I didn't pay much attention to others, especially when I found the G3!     For sale is my Ibanez AEB8E-BK Electric acoustic bass. I've had this quite a few years but it has been barely used, it has just been sat in the corner of the room collecting dust.     For sale I have my Antoni ADB05 1/2 size double bass. Despite being half size, with the stand extended it still stands at + 6ft tall, probably around 6ft1/6ft2. I got this a few years ago at my local music shop used and I have only played it at home. The neck has some strange lines in them as you'll see in the pictures. I'm not sure if it was a previous break in the neck that's been repaired or if it's just markings in the wood grain, I asked the shop I got it from and they didn't have any ideas or any history on it, either way I can't feel them and it doesn't seem to have made any effect on the tuning or the neck itself. I don't really know much about double basses, I got this as I always fancied a double bass, but it never gets played any more as it's too big for my flat, so it's actually at my dads house in Aylesbury. It was a big struggle fitting it into my little car an older Fiesta and is pretty heavy so definitely collection only. It does have a soft case as well. I don't know what the strings are on it as they are still the same ones that were on it when I got it 3-4 years ago. It comes with a bow, which is well used and Stentor Rosin. I have priced this at £100 so it will hopefully go quickly.     Yea definitely, Insomniac is definitely a G3 though. This bass really sustains, almost like in Spinal Tap

    Thanks I have taken the bridge cover off as it gets in the way when I'm playing (pick player) I put on two of my favourite albums by Green Day, Dookie and Insomniac and blasted through them and loved it. Dirnt says he recorded Dookie with a precision but some of those songs have got to be a G3! Love it! 13 years of GAS put to rest!

    Thank you everyone and thanks for the link as well Well FINALLY I have some great news, took a trip to Denmark Street and after going in 3-4 shops I went into NoTomGuitars and what do I see sitting in a corner? That's right, a 1979 G3 Played it and got it. As Larry Graham once said POW I Gotcha! Also comes with original hard case and 3 years warranty and free setups in that time. I made it very clear that I do not want it, I said it 3 times This G3 is simply amazing, it sounds and plays just as I hoped!

    Ok so Ebay were useless, didn't contact me so I contacted them and was told I would have to wait another 3 days before I'm contacted. I contacted my bank and they said as long as I inform Paypal that I'm going to make a claim then they can do it. So I did that and my bank have given me my money back in full There was a G3 on gumtree but it's gone I left negative feedback for the seller, however I then got an email from ebay saying ebay have deleted my feedback because I lost the case. The seller is :[b][size=5] lighthouse_sound[/size][/b] Please don't deal with them as you will also most likely be robbed of your money and your item just like I was. My bank did say that paypal could dispute it and take me to court, but there's no worry of that as I'm not a fraudster. So, on the lookout for a G3! Wanted thread to be made!

    Thanks chaps, as well as the ebay staff member putting an appeal in, I also went into the case and appealed it and wrote them out exactly what's happened and how stupid this situation is and what are they going to do to sort it out. I was told I'll be contacted within 48 hours, so I'll update when I know, if it's bad news from there then I will name the seller. I also haven't left them feedback yet so I'm just waiting for things to be clear then I'll leave them negative feedback saying what a joke of a service they have.
