1. Yes the sale went through, what an instrument it is.
2. Ah so this is the DJ i just missed out on when Gusto sold it, "bulb" ! that makes sense now. PM'd (unsurprisingly)
3. oooh that DJ, rotten timing but i could still be interested

5. Us bassists know the perils of moving house so it falls upon me to reduce my stock to make space. after 20 or so years of good service it's time to part with the BC Rich 30B. If anyone needs a nice little practice amp with headphone socket, this could be ideal. It's in working order and has served me well, i have noticed a little buzzing from the speaker depending on what settings, where in the room or other random reasons, sometimes there is no buzz at all, otherwise its fine. Great little amp, i'd prefer if it could be collected from NW London ideally. Dims are 42cm (w) x 46(h) x 19 (d) and i reckon it weighs around 9kg J
6. Well not to overload your excitement, but since i had mine i've used it about 10 times and it just keeps getting better and better and i can carry it in one hand (i've waited 20+ years for a cab like this to be designed) praise the lard !
7. Hmm a quick convert makes that about 4.76 kgs, not so bad
8. I think you need to give us the Kilo and grams of this baby so we know exactly what were dealing with here. Can we stay upright for a serious rehearsal session of ooh say 4 plus hours !

10. And i didn't quite win it ! if you did and your on here, lets have some news about it
11.
Maria, Blondie...well pretty much anything by Blondie for that matter
beat me to it, I was gonna suggest this, a classic and great song. I always wanted to do Echo Beach by Martha and the muffins, fun bass line too. Don't want to give my secrets away but a rocked up version of Britneys Toxic would slay them !
12. This is the sort of thing you want to look at, should fit most headstocks, use some cloth to protect your finish, most cameras having 1/4" thread will fit, but the main thing is you'll need a camera with pretty wide angle lens to get yourself in shot, go pro styley.. 13. Nice one Matt, you too were easy to deal with with really good comms. I'm confident you will seriously enjoy that piece of kit. Ribena's on the house ! J
14. Yep Graham I agree, i've worked in similar fields and I can see where you get the analogy from, us bassists are not really attention seekers, we sit back there do the job and let all the others fight it out for the glory. We walk away satisfied that a good job has been done and we can relax and enjoy something else with an internal grin. Not only that but i think we tend to have similar tastes in bass gear
15. Unreal, i have an absolute ringer for this hanging on my wall, same colours, finish, 2 band eq, the lot, been mine since about 93-94 they be absolutely lovely. Good luck with the sale
16. End May early June might be optomistic. I ordered mine mid Dec and was quoted mid Jan, which i guessed was unrealistic ! it arrived about a week ago, thats end of March. If it's only been a week and your getting impatient, you better be prepared for spontaneous combustion at any point beyond week 3 ! Oh and if the Roqsolid covers getting in the way, i'll look after it for you
17.
... maybe this is your guitarist on steroids
Ha yes, I think we've got the David Banner version and you've got the slightly "angrier" one
18.
If I only didn't already have the California P5 already, this baby would be mine
Indeed it's an absolute corker. Your vid is freaky, your guitarist looks like a slight larger version of our guitarist AND he plays a creme coloured Fernandez exactly the same as the one in the vid !
19. Not sure if this is the place to post this, but can anyone recommend some half decent venues for a classic rock covers band to try to get some gigs in the London area. Im not talking central London where it's probably a bad idea, but home counties maybe where we might get a bit better reception. We've been rehearsing a while now have about 25+ decent covers and need to start building up a circuit. We're happy to start off doing some midweek stuff to get feet in the doors and go from there. We are all based quite central / South London, but the likes of Herts, North London, West London and South would all work. Cheers J
20. I've decided to sell the Sandberg California TM4 Supreme in Creme. Bought this year off Pinball, i wasn't sure about the colour, but when i saw it the colour, finish and quality blew me away and i totally fell for it. However with hard times approaching i simply cannot justify keeping it as i've spent out too much in the last year anyway. Obviously the sound is incredible, being active / passive, 2 band eq and switchable between single coil and humbucker, you can get a good range of sounds from Musicman, Jazz and even a decent P impression. The only marks are a small ding in the back of the upper horn, it's really minor and the Sandberg "S" is half worn off, half of the word "delano" is worn off the neck pickup. I've got plenty of pics to show it off, if you need more I will gladly email them to you. It can be collected from NW London or we can arrange a carrier for about £25 within the UK. I don't have a hardcase at the moment, but if your interested and want it sent by courier i could try to get a basic hardcase for it for £30. Here's the official spec http://www.sandberg-...es/caltmsupreme Happy to answer any questions J
21. Just a thought, but the S12T is a 4ohm cab so your amp will probably be running at full power, if you had an 8ohm cab you'd get a bit more control out of the amp as it would be giving out appx half the power (give or take) Im sure there's a whole heap of technical/wording errors there but you get the idea.
22. I've suffered the odd left hand cramp too, mainly during that long repitetive fast guitar solo part in Dazed and Confused ! our drummer suggested having a packet of ready salted crisps, but that just made playing it virtually impossible, i dropped nearly all the crisps . Seriously it did help a bit for the rest of the rehearsal, but i found there was no substitute for practice and building up the stamina where it's needed. Oh and bananas and a low action.
