4.
i.e. photos pur-lease! Also, does it come with the original Non-J Retro control panel, knobs, electronics, etc.?
what he said!
5.
Cataldo. I've got one, it's superb.
I've witnessed that bass in action - can confirm its superbness!
6. Looks spot on, very nice indeed! GLWTS
7.
If mine was sold id be on it quicker than..... Well something really quick
Well, in the meantime, you're quite welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a play on it if you're 'down south' any time soon :-)
I had one just like that a great bass, in fact that might be the one i owned. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks man. Could be your old one I guess - if so, thanks for keeping it in such good nick!
8. Couple of questions: where are you based? And is it maple fingerboard / blocks? Thanks, Dan
9. must be worth a road trip for someone at that price, if only for the speaker! wish I had room for it...
10. Thanks guys, it is a lovely thing! I had a bit of a play seeing as I had it out to photo: This is just the neck humbucker, flat EQ, DI'd straight into interface, tiny bit of compression to level it out. Can put some more clips up if wanted - requests taken :-)
11. nice, thanks for sharing! here's one back - no bass guitar but great basslines!
12.
Indeed...
Was being tongue in cheek with the 'theory' comment, just to be clear!
13. SOLD For sale is my 2008 Stingray 'SLO Special' 4HH in Cherryburst. Excellent condition, not a single ding to be found. Usual high quality parts, lovely smooth unfinished neck, compensated nut, excellent range of tones from the pickup combinations and 3EQ preamp. The 'SLO Special' refers to nut width (38mm) so it is 'Jazz' width rather than the usual wider Stingray nut. Quite hard to come by these I think! So, similar to a Sterling neck but a touch chunkier depth. Weight is 4.8kg according to digital scales. Ernie Ball straplocks and original MusicMan hard case included. Bass has been recently professionally set-up at Jack's Instrument Services in Manchester and plays great - but has been sat in it's case getting no use for 6 months so it's time for it to move on I think! Collection from Holmfirth area preferred although could post at buyer's expense. Sale preferred but would consider trade for a nice US Fender Jazz 4 string with maple/blocks.
14.
... and the theory will adjust to explain why..!
never a truer word said! there's a clue in the name 'theory' I think ;-)
15. Here's a tab I put together for Jean Genie, played at a posthumous Bowie tribute night I organised a while back. Sounds right to me :-) Edit: weird, forum has changed pdf to ipb file. Is that a usual thing?
16. Got some of those Hausell JJ pickups in an active/passive 5-er. Agreed on their greatness! GLWTS
17. Hot damn, that is one fine looking bass! Looks to be string-through right? Will have to stick to my CIJ Jag for now (love it, wish I had a grand to spank on this) but GLWTS... And if you change your mind on trades, please let me know Dan
