Due to an influx of GK212 cabs my Ashdown Mag115 deep is for sale. Its a bit different from normal - it has an Eminence Deltalite 2515 Neo 300w 8ohm speaker in it. Overall good condition 8.5/10 with no squeaks burps or rattles. Bought a few months ago from our very own moos3h (hope you dont mind me using your pics James!) Weight is down to 23kg and it sounds fantastic - much clearer than a standard Mag and obviously handles a bit more power. Its a one handed carry which is lucky because it was a custom order single handled cab from Ashdown. [s]£130[/s] £120 collected from near Stansted Airport - any trial welcome. May be able to deliver Essex/Herts/Kent/London for petrol money. Thanks for looking
Very tempting - what is the width of the neck at the nut? I tried out one of these basses a few years ago when I ultimately bought my old Schecter bass. I can't remember what it was that made me buy the Schecter over the Spector as they both had the same EMGs and great build quality.
Nut width by my trusty B&Q tapemeasure is about 40mm maybe 42mm (standard Spectors are 1.67 inches so i gues its that). Its a nice neck, not Ibby skinny or really fat either, somewhere in between. Edges are rolled too and that makes quite a noticeable difference. Ive had 3 Spectors and the necks are pretty consistemtly good imho. The sound is a bit more open and zingy than my Euro too. Got a lovely clarity. Welcome to pop over for a play with no obligation - i need to have a bash on the Fortress too. Or i could come over your way if its easier. Dont mind either way. Have a variety of heads and cabs here in the house.

NOW SOLD Fancy a change of spare bass so my beloved Spector NS2000/4 is up for sale or trade. Wasnt sure what its worth but how about £350 sale or trade value including a Mono GS1 strap, Schaller locks and a sheepskin lined Protection Racket gigbag. Its thru neck with EMG HZ pickups and an EMG active preamp. Absolutely spotless, no issues (still has plastic on control cavity plate) and plays beautifully with a low action and really effortless neck. Fully carved NS design body front and rear so really comfy. Dont confuse it with a Q4 Pro - most people do! Probably closer to a Rebop in character with great sustain and clarity. Interested in a Jazz, Precision or Warwick probably but basically looking for jazzy neck and woody growl! What have you got? Dont want Ibby's or Yamahas. Liked a Fender Modern Player Jazz so thats top of the list. Its the one on the left below Thanks for looking Any trial - based near Stansted Airport but travel around London and South East regularly too. How about a swap for a mint condition and completely unmarked Spector NS2000/4 plus a bit of cash or combo of bits below? Fantastic Spector sound and a really playable neck with low action. Also have a couple of Ashdown cabs lying around that i'm going to be moving on shortly and some bits such as Protection Racket gigbag or Mono GS1 strap that you may have a use for. The Spector has EMG HZ pickups and an active EMG tone circuit, neck thru design, NS designed curved front and back, maple body with figured amber top and black hardware. Its my back up to my Euro 4LX but i fancy having something a bit different. Its the one on the left below and im in Herts so not far away. And here a re acouple of image links for it below http://farm7.static....864118f0f_b.jpg http://farm7.static....21f5a5ea7_b.jpg

Youve obviously never been to one of our gigs

Bass and treble at about 9o'clock and mids at about 3o'clock is flat but you'll find that in reality a small bass or treble adjustment in conjunction with volume makes the mids sound quite different. You can still boost the mids a bit anyway and if you set the bass or treble around 11/12o'clock then it sounds more traditionally scoopy. I demoed it like that at a shop and thought it sounded a bit gutless until the guy there showed me how to get the best out of it Its one of those amps that doesnt jump out at you with an in your face tone but if you spend a bit of time with it you'll figure it out. You need to get away from the "everything at 12 and boost from there" idea and its not an amp for fiddlers - it makes you just get on with playing I find its really punchy and warm sounding with a solid clarity with the bass and treble at about 10o'clock and mids at 3o'clock. Bloody loud as well.

The LH500 does have mids - you just need to rethink it and turn the bass and treble down and the volume up. If you can get to Herts/Essex border i have a GK MBFusion and a Hartke LH500 you can try out. I also have an Ashdown 15" cab with an Eminence Deltalite speaker in it which does a very good Barefaced impersonation (up for sale if anyone wants it - havent done piccys yet but its a 9/10 cosmetically and weighs next to nothing. £130 would sort it)

FS: Brand new! Korg Pitchblack Poly & MXR Bass-compressor

Was it that red one? I had a little bid but it got a bit rich for buying something without playing it and i chickened out. Wonder if a basschatter got it? Thinking about picking up a jazz or precision for the stable.

I have a Korg Pitchblack Poly and its great. Accurate and visible. Prefer the strobe mode on stage.

There is a music shop in Faversham, Kent with one of those. I was in there a few months ago and had a go on it. It was a LTD edition and signed on the headstock and was lovely. I'm pretty sure it was an FNA and not a Corvette but i may be mistaken. It belonged to the owner and i think he wanted about 1200 for it. Might be worth a call to see if its still there. Sorry cant remember name of shop but theres only one as far as i know so shouldnt be hard to find. -
I have a Maplin one - had it 4 months with no issues and no noise either. Powers a Boss CEB 3 Chorus, Hartke Bass Attack and a Korg Pitchblack Poly tuner.

Just bought David's Boss Chorus pedal from him. Great guy, posted quickly from afar and really pleased with it. Top man and thanks v much!

Glenn Hughes was on ITV breakfast telly the other day. Promoting the Marshall concert this weekend with a busted finger from a bizarre volleyball accident. S'pose it beats quad bikes or gardening accidents. Showed a bit of Black Country Communion which woke me up a bit!
My percussionist bought one and was using it last night at a rehearsal. It folds up pretty neat and quite light. A bargain for 30 quid!
What did it sound like?

The mighty Yellowhouse are at The Rising Sun in Slough tonight (Friday) and Egham United Services club on Saturday night. Onstage 9ish till late. Rock covers - or Stadium Rock in your Local as we like to say. I have some new toys to play with so come and say hello if anyones about.
-
Try DV247 online and send it back if you dont like it???? They have a 30 days no quibble guarantee. I did and kept it (MB Fusion) - great little amp.
-
I had one for a few months. It was pretty good, great set of features (presets, tuner, aux in, compressor and valve drive). Not too hard too lug about as its pretty tall and has good handles. I had the 15" version and found it was a bit lacking in punch (loads of boom but a bit lifeless in loud rehearsals). In hindsight, perhaps the 210 would have been a better bet. Thomann are selling one at £367 here http://www.thomann.de/gb/search_dir.html?xsid=8a777a7e9ae2d11a458c07e33c71de66&sw=bg500&x=0&y=0 Bargain at that price i reckon - you wouldnt take too much of a hit if you didnt get on with it and moved it on later.

Trouble is, they obscure the telly. Might have to move them for X Factor
