4. Yup Cosmo, that's the one. Jazz body, Jazz neck with dots, twin overwound P pickups, VVT controls and lovely shiny black finish. Its a real floorshaking growl monster - the front pup sounds like a precision and the bridge pup is a super beefy jazz on steroids. Can't wait to gig it next weekend. Pics later today.
5. NOW SOLD Due to purchasing a Zoom B9, my immaculate Roland Bass Cube 20XL is now for sale. Fantastic little practice combo with aux input, headphone out, compressor, tuner, shape switch, amp modelling and multi effects. Its the latest model and retails for about 189 most places. I would like [s]120 [/s]£100 collected for it. Based near Stansted Airport. Will pop some pics up later today.

7. Woohooo! After a great couple of hours at Wunjos Bass Centre in London i came home with a Fender Blacktop Jazz. Its luvverly, pics to follow 😊
8. Just wanted to give a big shout to Wunjos Bass Centre in Denmark St, London. I popped in today to have a tinkle on a few Fendery type basses. The service was outstanding - the guys (Tom and Mark) were informative and patient. I didnt quite know what i was looking for until i heard it - ive discovered its best to buy with your ears rather than your wallet - and they cheerfully trotted out about 10 different options over the course of an hour or so. Other customers came and went and the guys popped back every now and then to have a listen and make some suggestions or shoot the breeze a bit - all sensible and they really figured out what i was looking for. I was never pressured and left the shop to have a quick pooch round some of the other music shops in the street and some lunch. Got blanked by most of them (stood looking at a £1100 Warwick for about 5 mins waiting for a bloke stocktaking to move out the way or ask me if i needed any help but gave up and left)and this just reinforced my faith in the service i had received at Wunjos. Anyway, a quick call to the missus and i was cleared for a spend up. Back to Wunjos and Tom sorted out a great deal on a Fender Blacktop Jazz with a case and some spare strings. The bass is fantastic - pure growl and grunt - and the whole experience was brilliant. Next time you're in town pop in and have a look. They have some nice Spectors, Fenders, Musicmans, Genz and SWR bits and they're well worth supporting. Cheers guys!
9. I was ready to pull the trigger on one of these a few months ago. Great rock sound as above and a bit thicker sounding than a std jazz. Neck was nice too. Until i tried a Yamaha BB424X next to one and the Yammy blew its socks off! Slightly thicker neck but sound was WAY more up my street for a rock band. Give one a go if you can.
10. Gator bag to put my Zoom B9 in And a not bass related but brilliant Subbuteo Chelsea/Barcelona game to play with jnr!
11. Yellowhouse playing last 2012 gig. Good modern rock covers - pop in and say hello, should be fun!
12. Yellowhouse are playing tonight at Christies Bar in Birchington. Good fun modern rock covers. Pop along and say hello if anyones about!
13. Had a Spector Performer DLX and it was a great sounding budget bass. Had EMG SSD pickups wich i thought were nice and punchy and the neck was nice. Only sold it because i bought a couple of more expensive Spectors but it got me started with the brand.
14.
Gator 2411 soft bag has a little room to spare.
This is the one i bought - £29.99 delivered from Amazon. Theres a little extra room in it for leads and stuff but its pretty much spot on. I looked at the Stagg cases and nearly bought one of those but the effects unit travels in the back of the car and lives in the house so figured i didnt need the extra toughness and the soft bag was a bit more flexible (literally too!) 16. The metal bit is fine - it was the Comfort Strapps that had the issues i believe.
