  1. Please find my immaculate Wizzy 10 that is a superb piece of kit. This has served me very well with absolutely no concers. Its had many nice comments on how loud loud the volume is and what great tone comes from such a small Beastie! Has a great little handle underneath that tilts the cab slightly. Full handle on side. Robust corner protection. Ideally pick up just outside Bath and I gig lots in the Cheptow area if this helps. Could send via courier for £15 insured. If you require more photos then lease pm and I can send by attachment. Spec; The cab that could, did and conquered! The Wizzy series are the best selling bass cabinets we've ever produced. That's because they deliver a balance of warmth and accuracy that fits electric bassists as well as upright players. The baby of the line is the remarkable Wizzy 10, one of the smallest and lightest bass cabinets in the history of bassdom. The Wizzy 10 is based on our legendary Wizzy 12, known for delivering "fliptop sound for the new millennium". The Wizzy 10 extends that tradition for smaller room gigs, acoustic and double bass settings and studio use. While the Wizzy 10 is capable of reproducing the low 'B' on a bass guitar, it also reveals the nuances behind every inflection in your playing, whether you're driving a bop quintet, or anchoring a folk duo. And at under 17 pounds, and small enough to fit in a Wizzy backpack, The '10' that will make you think twice before lugging anything else. Frequency Response: 45Hz to 5.5KHz Size:15.0H x 12.5W x 11.0D Weight: 17lbs Configuration: 1 x 10"dual concentric driver Woofer: Proprietary EA 10 Neodymium with Whizzer cone Sensitivity: 102dB @ 1m Sound Pressure: 126dB @ 1m Power Handling: 250 watts rms Impedance: 4 ohms Connection Type: Two SPEAKON Jacks Handle: One moulded Strap Handle on Side
  2. Artisan, I have recently placed an order for a super midget after some good email conversations with Alex. On paying a deposit I had a confirmation email, this was a few weeks ago. I have since had a reply to a further email giving me an update of where my cab is in the build and an approx delivery date. So far so good - just thought I would pass on my experience. When spending an awful lot of money (for me this is a major once in a blue moon purchase) I would expect nothing more from a British company dealing directly with their customers. So far for me I couldn't expect more. I will update this post once I have paid balance and received cab on how this part of the process went. Paddy
  3. Great replies thanks and the Barefaced PDF helpful.
  4. I have seen these comments before when talking of new cabs. Can someone explain what this exactly means and why a cab may sound better once 'ran in'?
  5. I want one, not because my existing pro plat isn't good enough but because this one is just so darn gorgeous!
  6. I went a couple of times several years ago. Massive fun, learnt loads, drank loads, ate loads and slept little. Made some very good friends and had such a laugh. Go if you have the stamina and can afford it!
  7. I wondered about the bass bar and was reading on this last night. OK a trip to a luthier is needed in the future. Thanks.
  8. No problems that I can tell and I think that's why I am more puzzled.
  9. Bass - Strunal 50/4 Strings - variety of synthetics but also Obligatos, guts and other steels. Problem - the A string always sounds the weakest of the four strings. This became even more noticeable when recording recently through a mic. Is there anything I could do to help with this?
  10. Ahhhhhhhh I have been dreading the pictures and review of your Duke. What a beauty. Just as I had come to the conclusion I would stick with my 50\4 for a few more years. Glad you are very happy with her? Do you mind pm'ing me what she cost including the shipping?
  11. Paul, first dibs on your used Lambert's 😀
  12. Plays right and left handed - one cool cat.
  13. You got to give us a review and pictures of the Duke!
  14. Great price! I own a 50/4 and would be well chuffed to buy a whole lotta bass for £500. Good luck.
  15. 3 strings that's one more than I usually play!
  16. Dave Griffith's lives in Bristol. I have not had lessons with him but watched him and he was super cool. There is some clips on youtube. Let me know how you get on with whoever you choose, I could do with some lessons!
  17. Rab - correct the new cases don't come with wheels! Strange though, perhaps they had problems? I have owned 2 of these, the first the zip failed after quite some time and I was given quite a good discount on my next one that is going strong.
  18. Ambient - my tom and will does me proud and the back straps are great for stairs and muddy festivals!
  19. Stick a advert out there for local musicians and get out for a jam, that will get your mojo going!

  21. Looking for a used Fishman pre amp or similar, not sure if my budget would allow for a pro plat but pm and we will see!?! Paddy.
  22. Looking for a Fishman preamp in good used condition. Not sure if my budget would stretch to a pro plat but pm me and let's see!?! Paddy.
  23. Bump - I bought the fretted u bass and I am having some great fun with it. The huge tone from such a small instrument really is amazing and certainly a talking point when out gigging!
