Beedster are you based in Bristol? If so and you want a trip to the country (Paulton) to try out some strings before buying I have blast cults, silver slaps, few sets of whackers and obligatos favoured by Chatham County Line, I might even have some I've forgotten!!!!! Paddy.

    Spruce top fretted Kala U Bass in as new condition. Upgraded with Thundertone strings (original stock strings included) and Bass Buddy System thumb rests. I will include a clip on tuner. The original padded gig bag is included with good handle and and back straps. I last played the Kala last weekend at a gig with no concerns at all. Produces an amazing deep warm tone that gets loads of attention. I would prefer pick up only but if you want to arrange a courier I will package up. I live just outside Bath/Bristol and could deliver in local area.

    I've changed my strings more times than I care to remember (costing me ££££) and never had a problem with the soundpost moving. I always put the bass on its back on the kitchen table which is a great height. Perhaps I've just been lucky but it works for me.

    I have just received a new super midget. I originally enquired about a sc but after mail discussions with Alex re what I was currently using and what sound I was after, Alex recommended the sm. So far so good although I have only had one gig I was extremely happy and had good feedback from band mates and audience. Mail barefaced and enquire - the advice certainly felt tailored to my needs.
