1. i had very limited wood working skills prior to the course, the most i'd done was stuff at school and gluing some cabs together. spent today doing buffing and finishing off the frets After i did that i put some oil on the fretboard, it's pretty good how well the board matches the colour of the body! Still more buffing to go though to get all the scratches out!
 2.
Curious about doing finishing before pickup routing.
Yeah john thought it'd be okay because otherwise course would have to be on hold till the darkstars arrive which could be a fairly long time.
 3. dude come try out my pedal and tell me what you think
 4. right so i maybe took a little longer getting photos up than i thought i would ;p Pre final coat of laquer after final coat of laquer and before final flatting etc. doing some fret work

 6.
I've farted out 8x10s. They don't like lows. Lesson is: Never use one 8x10.
8X10's are doom unless you have 3 or 4 of them
 7.
Get it biased again and checked out, might just be the bias has gradually drifted and doesn't quite sound the same any more.
+1 maybe even go use some ashdown combos or something and go back to it and fall in love again ;o
 8.
Right, so i've got this line 6 amp. It's not a bad amp, by any means. But since i bought it as a kid, my experience has gone up and i know what i'm doing a little more. SO what i wanted to ask was this. Do any of you guys know how i could get a good sharp tone out a line 6 amp, it's a lowdown 150. I'm a musicman player, and i like a lot of treble and bass in my sound, but i hate the 'compressed' sound you get if the mids are too high. I'm a prog player, and want something to stand out from the riffs etc, until i can afford my ampeg or GK! Thanks guys!
turn the mids down?
 9. these havn't been doing to well at the moment, i've seen them go for around 350 - 600 on ebay. You're not gonna get the same kinda valve power for that kinda money.
 10. very tempted by this for a rebuild. will check funds
 11. last few i saw were 250 - 400, that was a while ago though
 12. i might get that just so i can be zz top

 17.
hmmm well as I've been told the Tone Benders have 1 less gain stage and 1 less set of clipping diodes than the Big Muff, which is probably why I prefer them to the Big Muff... So really, a Big Muff but a bit less fuzzy is another way of putting what I'm after ;-)
big muff has one set less of clipping diodes, get one and snip the diodes.
 18. big muff
 19.
If it sounds anything like A B15, then it's gonna be a winner I suspect. Unless it catches fire.
unfortunatly it's a very different circuit
 20. how much are they? i've only heard good things about them from our american friends
 21. totally forgot to take pictures, will be thursday now.
 22.
Just looking on the Matamp site. Are all the controls notched like the gain or are they smooth?
gain is only one on rotary switch on gt200 i think
 23.
That's the Matamp 2x12 mentioned above. I picked it up directly from the factory in Meltham, near Huddersfield. A few folks have got one on the board (Tayste and others). Of course, the hardcore ones would spit at running an Orange through a Matamp cab
it's poor taste to do so ;<
 24. why don't you just run the hartke clean?
