i have repaired this type of thing before
just get a very thin (sewing) needle, gently push it into cap about a millimetre or 2, angle it, then pull it back to shape
i have a tanglewood canyon-1, it is a nice enough instument with active three band EQ, so its capable of a variety of tones
shame it doesnt get played anymore since i bought my geddy
