FS/ FT- Ibanez tone-lok SB7 Synth Pedal
soldersqueeze replied to soldersqueeze's topic in Effects For Sale

Sadly no pics at the moment but can email upon request. Good condition pedal, all metal construction, tone-lok knobs, 3 way switch to choose between synth 1, synth 2 and auto wah. Alot of fun, and the first "out there" pedal I ever bought, it has been superceeded by newer, crazier effects on my board. It is however a good jumping off point for anyone looking for some new, synthy sounds. Has velcro on the bottom, no manual or instructions. Trade for decent condition TU-2 or similar stomp box tuner. Or a clip on Peterson Strobe tuner. Or something that makes wierd noises. Have feedback here for anyone concerned about the low post count (I rarely have anything of interest to say round here ) EDIT- Will now accept the moneys- £35.00 collected (London- Kilburn in the eve or Kensington in the day) or £40.00 delivered (recorded first class)

Not sure what affordable 37 inch scale basses are out there- I'm guessing your current bass is 35? Have you looked at rack gear? Some kind of active EQ to sort things out? I think you're going to have fairly flappy strings whatever you do if you have those tunings. OR simply take a gun to a knife fight: http://www.conklinguitars.com/custom_11_string_bass_zebrawood_wenge_birdseye_maple_bubinga_3d_melted_top.html

If they've got that much bass between them, I suggest turning up with a 6 string guitar set up with 0.09s. Either that or a keyboard. (Sorry if that seems overly sarcastic, it's only because i've gotten seriously annoyed about it before myself. Only real suggestion I have is keep a bass you're happy with and use an octave pedal, ideally splitting the low octave to one amp and the standard signal to another, that can sound amazing, and super-deep).

I've got the lick down, now I have to practice the pulsing head movements and punchably-smug facial expression.

Great review, thanks! Any opinion on how it works as a DI into a PA in a live gig situation would be amazing
-
Tempted by this! I've been looking for a D.I solution for easy gigging and if the emulated out on this is any good I'm pretty much sold. Looking forward to brensabre79's thoughts. Anyone else here taken the plunge on this?

I've used the digiverb and the hardwire reverb too, both are really good in my opinion. I agree that the hardwire sounds better (to my ears), but if you shop around you can pick up the digiverb for around the £40 mark and at that price point it destroys the competition. I've never had a problem with digitech stuff, but a friend of mine went through 2 of the digiverbs in a month, so maybe there are some qaulity issues on some of them? I'm waiting on delivery of a Dr Scientist Reverberator to see what the fuss is about, but from the clips i've heard it sounds phenominal. However, for the price, i'd expect nothing less!

Favourite setting on your MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe
soldersqueeze replied to CliveT's topic in Effects
I go for dry at 12 o'clock, growl at around 2 o'clock and girth at around 9 o'clock, and I always keep the mids button on. I love this pedal to bits, but bought a Foxrox Octron 2 with the intention of replacing it.... Now I have two octave pedals on my board, and don't want to sell either stupid MXR making unreasonably excellent pedals..... -
Sold a 3leaf Groove Regulator to Nick. Easy peasy transaction, very nice man. Would happily deal with again!

MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe tracking issue
soldersqueeze replied to johnDeereJack's topic in Effects
I have one of these and use it all the time, can't say i've had anything like this. Mine's one of the first batch too... How are you powering it? If it's "warming up" it sounds like the CHT (constant headroom technology) might be acting up. It's a power regulator which brings the input voltage up to 18v (i think so at least, if i'm wrong someone say), so that could be the source of the problem? For the record I use mine after a Boss EQ and before any other effects because I find they confuse it and severely limit the tracking accuracy. -
Bought a pedal from this chap, pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended. Oh, and if he says something's mint condition, he really means it!!

Hello everyone, Up for sale is my 3leaf Groove Regulator. 100% mint condition (velcro on back) with box etc (photos to follow later on today). This is a great envelope filter which is (as most of you will know) based on the Lovetone Meatball. There are a few glowing reviews of these knocking around the web (http://analogwarcry.blogspot.com/2009/03/we-need-funkgotta-have-funk.html for example) but I won't drown you with them here because I'm sure we all know how to use Google! This is easily the most musical, well balanced and generally beautiful envelope filter i've ever used- so why am I selling it? Well, personally I like my pedals to sound like broken ray-guns exploding through the speakers of a fire-damaged 1980's boombox, and this box doesn't really do at end-of-the-world-noisecore (actually, it may do and i've just not learned how to use it to its full potential...). So I'm getting a Subdecay Prometheus instead. I realise I don't have many posts under my belt here, but I do have some feedback for pedals I've bought from other members in the feedback forum. Anyone feeling cautious I can't say I blame you as I've been burned on deals myself in the past. All I can think to say is that if you want to PM me to make sure I'm a real person feel free, or if you're in London and want to meet in person I can certainly do that. I think this is a bit of a bargain for what it is- analogue, boot-ique fatness for less than GAK charges for a Boss AW3! Hit me up people, you need this pedal in your life!!

Hey there, I have a minty and fabulous 3Leaf Groove Regulator (version 1) which I want to trade for a crazier filter. The 3Leaf is an amazing sounding pedal but I want something more extreme/ experimental. Mainly interested in WMD Super Fatman or Subdecay Prometheus. Would add cash to sweeten the deal for the WMD (drop me a PM, let me know what you think's fair). If you have either of the above but you're not interested in a trade, I could probably find some cash for a straight buy tbh Get in contact!!
