  1. Bump, all the best with the sale/trade BSB.
  2. Nice S/jazz Soggs, Colour/look,s etc. have a Bump
  3. All these nice Sadowsky,s! have a Bump bud.
  4. Our drummer projectile vomited over his kit last year, he turned up at the gig looking a bit pale? turned out he,d had a dodgy curry the previous night but decided to do the gig anyway, halfway through the 1st set i looked at him only to see a multi coloured liquid with chunk,s fly all over the snare, tom,s and floor tom! i was amazed when he shook his head and carried on playing? looked pretty spectacular under the stage lighting when he hit the bugger,s though! What a man.
  5. +1 Chris, my Fretless Stingray 5,s has one of the best neck,s for a 5er and defo sit,s in the mix well even for a fretless! Jazzseven iv,e had a fair few highend basses, i went down that road year,s ago, it,s nice to own them but you can get a bit precious with them i.e. gig,s etc , IMO a good amp and a good quality bass with a cool sound is all you need bud. It,s alway,s good to have a 4 knocking about, defo think about it. PB.
  6. +1 to (risingson) my EBMM 5 HH is weighty beast, not as heavy as the Wal 5 i used to own, but i do like a weighty bass. There something solid about a heavy(ish) bass, just feel,s right to me, my KS is a excellent player/sound etc but about a pound lighter and just does,nt? hence why it,s up for grab,s on here. (IMO) I don,t think that SuperJazz,s will ever go out of fashion: Sadowsky,s etc. Must admit to having Gas for Gwiylm,s sadowsky though, my ideal bass: look,s wood,s simple lines, so you could put me in the want one catagory, might be a bit light though? lol. PB
  7. 2100+ hit,s? load,s of PM,s and it,s still here? like my friend Vince say,s This is a great instrument, just need,s a new home as i don,t use it at the mo, really need that oldskool sound on a 5 string : EBMM, Fender Jazz (clone,s) etc will be prepared to do a good deal on the right one, there must be one out there?
  8. Any 5,s up for trade? sensible offer,s?, your missing out on excellent bass.
  9. Hi Damon, The stingray,s been set up, action lowered, intonation etc play,s perfect, just luv fretless basses. The KS is great to play, tone etc, but like the Wal,s iv,e owned the Stingray and me old jazz, i just prefer heavier basses. Hope you like your KS Bud. C.
  10. Played 4,s since 76 and 5,s since 88, luv playing both, no problem,s alternating, it,s all in the mind, lol
  11. My first gig was back in 77, school open day, played in the main hall, Rolling stones, Hendrix, Blues cover,s and three Beetles song,s had to learn them in a fortnight! suffice to say we were not very good, and the music teacher was,nt impressed? he also told us to get a proper job? as we would never make proper musician,s???. The girl,s in my year liked it though, felt like a rockstar for a few week ,s lol. Got such a buzz i,m still doing it 35yr,s on! School Music teacher,s.........
  12. Cheer,s Vince, niether can I! lol
  13. Hi Tom, no Dingwall i,m afraid, only my KS BSR5J-G, i was hoping someone with a Dingwall might be interested in my bass so i could relieve you of your beautiful Stingray
  14. Fellow BCer,s, had load,s of PM,s couple of deal,s fell through, so it,s time to get more specific on what i,m interested in trading, due to the present financial climate i don,t think the KS will sell, so a trade+a bit of cash is the only option. The KS is light versatile and so easy to play but i prefer my EBMM fretless sr5,s weight /ergonomic,s, so a late, ish EBMM sr5 fretted, US G&L,s Fender, jazz (shape) 5 fretted? i,m sure we could come to deal/trade? go on you know you want to! lol PB.
  15. Good thread. I,m at loggerhead,s at this moment in time with a recent trade, a KS BSR5J-G, most probably one of the easiest 5,s iv,e ever owned, the finish, sound, weight and playability is great, it,s the lack of contour,s on the body i.e. chest, forearm that i can.t get to grip.s with. it,s has a flat/slim profile bodywise but it does,nt sit right when playing standing up. Had a gig at the wk,end and just did,nt feel comfortable, adjusted the strap several times still no joy?. I don.t have a beer gut, i do have large forearm,s, and with no contour my arm/wrist was at a funny angle, so i suppose the body,s a big deal to me. Unless i,m just a funny shape!!
