Impulse buy

Whoops GAS attack. Played around with the Octaver option on my ME50B, liked it, saw the OC-3 brought it. Initally not sure the best way to use it, the drive option sounds good (wacked up full drive ) and the trackings not too bad, Poly mode seems a bit weak and the Standard Octave again good tracking, but I need to play around with it a bit more. An one got one? any good patches etc, more in a ROCK setting than anything else. Ta Darcy

TAB
Amen to that! Many people don't bother trying to develop this skill and instead just try to learn from tabs, problem is most tabs were written by equally useless people so it's completely wrong.
I normally do but time was against me and sometimes you just need a prompt and tab helps and you can finish the rest yourself. You are so right a lot of tab is totally wrong how people can submit some of it is amazing

TAB

Finally first band practice (thank god got the first booked gig 8th September). Set list is coming together a bit quirky classic pop songs ROCKED up, Guitarist wants to play The Wondermints version of Knowing Me Knowing You by Abba (sorry is that swearing??) So muggings here said OK but I am working from now until Sat PM and I am meant to know it Sun Am....Any tab out there I cant find it, spent 5 mins listening to the track and got the oepning but I havnt got the time HELP and thank you
6. I am really depressed, most of us have some real regrets, classic's sold for pennies. Hindsite is a marvelous thing!!!!! My conclusion............NEVER sell another bass, just keep collecting (for the sake of new, different and intersting tones and for expanding your horizons (gosh that sounds pretty good almots convinced myself lol) etc of course) just in case lol
7. Had an Ashdown Perfect 10.....OK really low down but anything over 5-6 on the master and past 2-3 o'clock on the bass it farted badly even with a passive JB, cant comment on the Orange
8. Gosh, some (err most) of this hurts, I have let a few classics go.... Very bad Avon EBO short scale Gibosn copy (with a Gibson Decal) sold to buy the Hondo Hondo 4001 copy, gave it away when I got the next 1975 Black Jazz bass sold coz everyone was saying 3 bolt necks, a bit heavy, a bit naff. God wish I'd kept that Rickenbacker Jetglow 4000, sold for £250 about 1985...WHY!!!!! My fav (well the best memories, sound etc) Fender , Squier Jazz (2nd lot not the Fender by but Squier by) Black had a Badass and Seymour Duncan Classic pick-ups fitted. Gave up music (for love!!!) gave it to the 2nd guitar player so he could cover up and coming gigs and never got it back. Just Kill me now!!! Now Frankenstein Jazz, bit and pieces 80's jazz neck and kit parts Crafter acoustic bass Tokai P bass Latest addition Squier fretless, all current. Not to mention amps, Marshall bass 100 and 4x12, a 200 watt Major and 4x15 cab, a tranny Marshall 100 and 2 x 2x12s, Fender 135 Bassman and 2 x15 and a H/H bass machine and 8x10 I must have been mad, this bit should be some where else but my emotions were running..Sorry

Gas attack

Dont know why, but had been thinking about it for 3-4 weeks and finally gave in...... Fretless, never played one before. Plays great. All Squier generic parts, Tuners and bridge will have to be replaced (Badass), pickups sound fine, My playing.... you have to be sooooooooooo precise (or am I just a lazy player?), it's a real learning curve. It's got roundwounds on it, what are peoples thoughts/views Roundwound of flats???

Little Big Muff

Looks OK to me (dont know what I'm looking at mind ) All the connections seem good. Do you think my normal approach of BFI (Brute Force and Ignorance will work??)

Little Big Muff

I'm a little confused (what's new ) I love my Little Big Muff and playing it for recording, home doddling (through a Roland Cube 30 bass) and at home and Next door annoying volumes through my Peavey rig....GR8. I fired it up at gig volume yesterday.........................and there was this horrid Hum/whine (not feedback) and the footswitch developed a speaker busting clunk????????. I change patch leads, leads, battery and mains power, moved it out of my pedal board and still the same?? Gave up in the end and thought I would look into it again later. Tonight...No problem (well a 11 year old girl complaining she could not hear Big Brother BOTHERED lol). Any suggestions????
12. DT10. Hey was gonna type some kinda story about Boss tuners and the tuner on my ME50B ....but it all leads to the DT10 being better.
13. Anyone know anything about theses at the Bass Centre? http://www.basscentre.com/cat/product_info...roducts_id=1390 £599.00 mind and I would like to know whats under the P type pickup thingy
14. Hard one..............Errrrrmmmmmmmmmmm. Always been a fender fan and the J won hands down most of the time, but as far as I am concerned the more effects used the P bass wins, seems to suit lottas fuzz, octave, overdrive, synth sounds (or cuts through better). The Geddy Lee bass (My Hero) is Gucking Freat bass, Depends what youm are into...
15. If you ask and can prove you can get it better elsewhere (considering that some online shops you have to pay carriage etc) they will match the price (well Sound Control in Milton Keynes do.

USB mixers

I like Cubase, used a few versions over time and I find it easy to get on with, but then again havnt really used any other. The MW10 looks good but you can only record a maximum of 2 tracks at a time.
17. Sorted a bit better now (patch / power leads) but havnt taken any new photo's
18. Very dangrous site, lots of things sparking GAS attack Never seen one of these before.....interesting Semi Telebass 70's neckbucker and jazz at bridge, wonder what that sounds like?
19. +2 Nothing flash, solid, creative. What's he doing now?
20. Looking good guys Strange it only feels like a couple of weeks ago I was doing this....Must be my age
