1. Lovely bass! Is this a trick of the light, or does this bass have massively high action?? Or is that you pulling the strings away to show the neck? Cheers Matt
2. Saw this a little while back.. I'll be getting it anyway =)
3. Hi Loki Ah how I miss my old Stingray! Any interest in a Sandberg California 4? Brand new not too long ago.. http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Cheers Matt
4. Hi Joel! Your are a brave, brave, man!
5. Oh my.. That is a fine looking bass you have there.. Just starting to really get into the 'natural' look.. Interested in trades? Or cash only? Cheers
6. Thanks Dave - Gutted I got rid of my Orange rig, this would fit quite nicely into my small herd
7.
Pub didn't go for this. Effectivelythey were setting up a dutch auction where a number of bands were set against each other for the lowest bid. Stuff that, I thought.
You were right to think this!
8. This is back up FS/FT as a couple of deals fell through.. Also price dropped to £800 - PM me if interested Cheers Matt
9. Ooops, right you are.. Didnt send for some reason?/.. Should have one now.. Cheers Matt
10.
cheers guys, things are slow at the moment but I'm not in a rush. I've raised enough cash for a new sandberg but I'm biding my time waiting for 'the' one.
Mine's still about .. Would save you a small fortune on a new one!!
11.
I can be the first to say it "My name is Pete, I like Josh and I like most of the album I'm with you" there I said it! I dont feel the need to be stuck in 1994 although he should use a proper Ray
I'll second that man
Glad you enjoyed it. I've still got mixed feelings on Josh. To me he's not the new guitarists but just trying to be another John. As for the performance, gutted I missed it. I saw them at O2 last year and it was like watching a tribute band. Must've just been having an off night. However, when I saw them at Hyde park they were phenomenal.
Yeah, awesome gig! I also had mixed feelings on Josh as John is like a god, but im liking Josh's style at the mo
12. Any other BC'ersthere last night?.. They were friggin OUT OF THIS WORLD!! New guitarist (Josh something) is very good and Flea was amazing (as expected)! Not sure about Knebworth as a venue though TBH.. Positioning of speakers meant that if you stood in front of the grandstand, and not too too far away from the stage the sound was getting seriously muffled at times.. Moved a little further back from the stage, where they had the next set of speakers and it sounded great!! Also, visibility of the bands on the stage was minimal due to the stage being on the lower part of the park.. Other than that, was a cracking night!! :-) Quite hard to beat their encore too; Sir pshyco sexy -> They're red hot -> Suck my kiss -> Give it away.. WOW! Anyway, just thought I'd share :-) Matt
13.
I am lucky to have endorsing deals with Rotosound and Cleartone cables. They are my only consumables really as I have used the same Mesa Boogie rig for 23 years now and they don't make the gear I'd want now (RIP the Diesel cabs). My basses are all Fender models which aren't current either (except the Japanese reissues). The Rotosound deal was as a result of a speculative email to the company when I found myself headlining the Isle of Wight Festival last year (literally) and Cleartone are run by a chum of mine who happens to make exceptional cables and is an all round great guy. I keep buying SKB cases so maybe I should approach them!
What band was that? (If you dont mind me asking!!)
14. Oooo.. I used this pedal a lot before it broke and I turned to an EHX big muff.. Maybe nice to have one again?.. Might be in touch.. Cheers
15. Never seen one of these before.. Cracking looking bass! Good luck with te sale Matt
16.
Go on, dive in One of the really good things about Ricks is that they hold their value remarkably well. The prices always seem to be going up as well. I bought a midnight blue one about 5 years ago and it was £1169 from GuitarGuitar, their now about £1849
Haha, indeed! Believe me - if I had a whole bucket loada cash that I could plough into a Ricky (rather than a wedding), I would absolutely pick up one of these beasts... Best of luck with the sale mate! Matt
17. Always fancied a Rick but never took the plunge... :-/
