1. Just spotted this topic - great bass! How does it feel to have your own signature model?
2. Interesting that they can do LED's on guitars so cheap.
3. Looks like a great bass for the money!
4. I too am joining the queue of people who can't wait to see a pic of this!
5. My bro has a Cort Curbow and it's a great bass for the money IMHO. Especially for the Bartollini electronics, which pack quite a punch!
6. What an amazing looking bass. Unfortunately out of my price range. What's also great is the fact that you have looked after it so well. It's not lost it's looks!
7. The reason I'm playing the bass is that I saw John Deacon playing a p bass about 8 years ago before I even knew what a bass guitar was. And yet I've never owned a p-bass! I think I should get one. Soon.
8. I have a Peavey that I got about 5 years back for £280 new, thru neck 4 string beautiful wood, and after a professional setup, it feels better to me than any other bass I've played, and I include high end stuff like Stingrays in that description. But this is just because I have been lucky enough to find a bass that fits me perfectly. The only gripe is that there is one slightly dead spot in the neck, but it's only one note, and I can live with that not being a gigging player. Thing is, I don't know what model my bass is, but I've googled a peavy grind and it looks almost identical. So I'd say there is a good chance that the grind is a very nice bass for the money.
9. I was just about to put up the exact same topic! I too would like to try this, so if anyone could post up their experiences with non-Fender p basses I would be very grateful. I'd basically like to buy one that is made of good quality wood (I'm thinking 70's/80's Japanese copies might be best), for under £100 preferably, and I'll fit new pickups/hardware to it. Ideally I'd like something like this: The reason I think old Japanese stuff is maybe the way to go is that I have a 70's Columbus Jazz bass and it is a solid piece of wood. No need to relic it to get the vintage look either, as it is 30 years old so is already relic-ed!!
10. Is it strung with flatwounds? EDIT: Just looked at one of the pics and you can see they are roundwound. Must learn to use my eyes in future
11. My main bass is a Peavey, I think you get a great bass for the money. I would love a fretless to accompny it; if only it didn't have that silly extra string that some basses seem to have on them! So for anyone who wants a fretless 5, you won't get better for your money than this I'm sure!
12. Oh mama.... If only I had £1850!
13. Really nice bass. Do you have any sound clips? I'll admit now I'll not be buying it as I can't play fretless (so would have no chance with an unlined neck!) but I would love to hear what that bass sounds like; I bet it sounds incredible!

GB Spitfire 4

To be honest I'm often not a fan of the more exotic bodies on bassed, but THAT one is really, really beautiful. You have very good taste!
15. Yep it is a lovely guitar - it's probably the nicest electric guitar I'll ever own. Only reason I'm selling it is that I can't play electric to save my life, so this guitar is wasted on me!
16. Slaptastic!
17. Sweet! Kinda sounds more like a fretless bass than an acoustic upright, but I think that is true for most/all EUB's. Are you using any effects on the melodic part of this track?
18. Sweet looking bass. Surprised it hasn't sold already!
19. Would any Stagg EUB owners fancy uploading a sound clip? I for one would be really interested to hear how it sounds.
20. Hi folks, I am selling my Fender Strat. It is a Mexican strat, I think it dates back to the early 90's (I can dig out the serial no. if anyone is interested), and most importantly it has a set of Lace Sensor pickups installed in it. In my opinion the build quality of this is better than the Mexican strats that you get in the shops today, the wood used for the maple neck strikes me as being very high quality. The guitar comes with a Fender USA hard case (which is a bit battered, but it does it's job nicely), and a strap. I'm asking £300, plus whatever postage and packing costs will be. I'll happily ship anywhere in the uk. I'm sorry about the quality of the photos, I am not the world's most talented photographer! I can try and take some better photos if any of you are interested in the guitar. Pics below; any questions just post here or pm me!

SOLD

What are the necks like on these things? Any thicker/thinner than most Warwicks?
22. Lovely looking bass. Looks in nice nick too. Good luck with the sale!
23. Out of all the basses Mark King has used in his career, (all high end stuff obviously e.g. Jaydee, Status, Alembic, Fender), it was his brief stint with GB basses that gave him his very best sound. (IMHO of course!) And by that I mean it was a good soloing slap sound, but still had enough 'bottom end' for a band situation. Amazing sounding basses. Although there is no guarentee that if you buy one you will be able to play them as well as Mr King Mark with his GB: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rbxt4uSRsY
