[/quote] No it's not you, these are getting more and more destroyed as he goes on. I think he is becoming desensitised to the whole process. It's the equivalent of browsing for porn the sh*t you look at gets more and more depraved as you become desensitised to the usual slap and tickle(or so I'm told by my friend who's a pervert, ahem). This particular guitar is of Japanese origin, Hiroshima to be precise.

It's not new. It may not be "used". But it is definitely secondhand. As new is a truer description. As mentioned earlier a lot is known about the sound for an unplayed bass. I would guess thus guy/gal bought this guitar and didn't gel with it and is now tryna recoup his dough, fair enough but it's not new.
