2.
Parts or a refurb project, I've repaired worse breaks on necks! I'd buy it for the trussrod nut and the micro tilt adjuster because I can't find a bullet trussrod nut anywhere that fits my '74 Jazz neck. The one thats in is almost completely inside the hole! but it will probably go for silly money in the end.
Hi Bren, are you serious? Im sure you have repaired worse breaks than that but I bet you had all the bits. The only way I can see that being of any substantial value is if it was smashed up on stage by someone famous at a well known event. I'd be surprised if it tops £100. However you never can tell. This has got interesting now. Goggles on folks.
 3. Wtf is this guy on. Why would anybody buy this. Let's have your answers why would someone buy this?
 4.
Haha cheers MB1. Sorry forgot to update my ad before bumpin. The combo died a death so was given away and ressirected by a fellow BCer. Just wanted rid of the amp hence thought id chuck it in here.
Ahh ok. Did seem a bit if a bargain. Have a bump.
 5. Hi mate let me get this clear. You are throwing in an amp as well for £180?
 6.
Actually the fact that they look sh*t bothers me more than the feel. Necks should match bodies for colour IMO. At some point if I decide to keep the basses in question I'll get them refinished in an appropriate glossy colour to match the rest of the bass. And now we're way off topic...
Horses for courses baby.
 7.
I suppose... It's not been my experience. All the guitars and basses I use regularly have painted and gloss finished necks and they all fine great to me. Then again the cheapest of these cost $999 and most of the others much more so maybe the poor feeling gloss necks only occur on cheaper instruments? I have a couple of basses with satin finish necks and besides looking wrong to me if the neck doesn't match the body, they feel rough and uncomfortable.
Rough and uncomfortable? Toughen up man.

 9.
I reckon Ken could get away with it though, don't you think?
 10.
+1 It offends my sense of chronological order. The 51-type Precision headstock had been replaced by the 57-type 'Strat' style by 59/60 when the first Jazzes appeared. Yes, I know it's not a Fender, etc but it just looks wrong doesn't it? Eh? Eh?
Yes it does look wrong. I couldn't imagine a bloke playing that guitar. I can see a fit bird playin it and looking awesome but it's all a bit 'barbi-ish' and really not to my taste.
 11.
Fair enough if you don't like the look, but a gloss finish doesn't change the feel of the neck.
In my guitar playing days I had a Yamaha sg with a black painted neck. Lovely guitar but it always felt cold and I never connected with it. I'm the same with hi gloss natural finish necks. I don't mind them but my preference is satin finish. This neck albeit a fine one looks artificial and I'm an earthy kinda guy.
 12.
Why? What do you mean?
I like a satin finish wooden neck. From the photos the finish on that necks looks cold and plasticky ie like a toilet seat. I Don't like white pickups either. The whole look of the bass simply doesn't float my boat and I am a jazz fan.
 13.
Not a jazz fan but that is rather pervy, I'll admit.
Not doing it for me, I bet that neck feels like a toilet seat.
 14.
Prob sounds as good as any other Ric..
Lol
 15.
Why do this ?????????????????
Somewhere to stash your weed.
 16.
Joshbasscana tells me these are sold.
17.
Sold!
I'm not surprised.
 18.
1970’s inspired Precision Bass, handcrafted in Hertfordshire Ok, ok, so it’s really a bitsa but it’s a good one. I’ve got a genuine 75 fender P but have been nervous about gigging it in the type of venues that I was playing with the classic rock band. So I decided to put together a 70’s style bass with decent components, that would hopefully sound and look right. I had decided that if this turned out well it would be a keeper. The good news is that it turned out really well. The unfortunate news for me, is that I‘ve now left the band and also had some unexpected expense on the home front. So I’ve decided to sell. The Spec: Squier VMP body, with 3 ply pick guard. Kiogon Greasebucket type wiring loom, with cts pots. Fender Japan 70’s reissue pups. Mightymite neck, with tinted lacquer finish and Fender decal. 9.5 radius rosewood fret board. Wilkinson vintage style tuners. Fender string tree. Fender F plate neck plate, with Allparts black cushion. New set of Rotosound Nickel Roundwounds 45-105. Everything has fitted together very well which hopefully should be evident in the photos. Looks and feels better than many of the Fenders I’ve picked up to look at in the shops. The neck had not been previously used and therefore the frets have no wear and the fret board is perfect. The only minus points are three small blemishes to the lacquer on the rear of the neck, which you should be able to see in the photos and a few surface scratches to the pick guard, which probably don’t show up in the pics. Weight is a very reasonable 9.5 lbs. I haven’t gigged the bass but have given it an outing to a rehearsal with my other band. It gave a great performance, sounded just right and sat in the mix just like a P bass should. Quite a mixed set, modern stuff, Plan B, Duffy, Black Eyed Peas and old favs, Doobies, Free, ZZ Top etc. Would be happier if this was collected as I don’t have a case for it. But we can discuss shipping if required. Happy for BC’ers to come on round for a try out. I’m asking £295.00. No trades at the moment thanks. Good luck with the sale. Things are really slow on here at the moment so don't be disheartened if this doesn't shift straightaway.
 19.
It'd probably sound a lot better without all those extra holes.
Mark d Phillips master bodger would put some significant spin on those holes no doubt. Would anyone like to enlighten us as to what he might say.
 20.
I like to say sorry for word offensive.
Apology accepted, no offense taken.
 21. Another successful bit of business with Anth. Really easy to deal with, fast payment and good comms. Good experience all round.
 22.
possible to find/use a different adjective please?
Stripped and molested violently.
 23.
You could pick up a decent one for less too. well I did
You are a jammy bugger though.
 24.
Is sold and gone
I'm so glad you sold this because I was so tempted to buy it about 100 times and I really didn't need it.
