Try both ways round and see which you prefer.
I tried that, but to my dodgy 51 year-old ears I couldn't hear much difference. I was just wondering what the preferred order is to get the best from both effects?

Compressor before or after Aphex XCiter ? Or does it not make any difference? Confused. Ross

  15.
Hi, I have a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V (around '99, I believe). The knobs are not standard: there are concentric knobs for the active Low and High frequency pots. The bottom one has lost its hex screw, which means that it's loose and not very precise. I don't need the full set of knobs, and it would feel very silly to get a whole set of knobs to get just the one tiny little hex screw. Does anyone know where I can get just the screws, or does anyone know the spec of the screw (what size hex hole, what thread and size for the outer part of the screw)? Cheers, - martin
Martin, If you can find the spec details I may be able to provide one - will depend upon what I have in my man-drawer stock of hex screws of course!! Ross

  18.
Thought I'd post this as it's a rare picture of me that I like! Tis from some pictures taken at a video shoot I did, the video I'll post when it's all rendered! Si
Shame the bass isn't plugged-in though
  19. That intense bass-player look.
  20. Bit of a d**k-head question, but does anyone know the on/off positions of the slap-switch on the Tanglewood (Cort) Curbow? I've tried both positions (oo-err) on mine, and twiddling the pre-sets on the rear does not seem to make any difference in EQ in either position - unless it is too subtle for my aged ears!! TIA, Ross
  21.
Thanks for the reply Bill, I understand your point now and a valid one it is too!!!! I was doing some research on Peavey products last night and couldn't find info on what actual driver was fitted to TNT 150 combos, the Blue Marlin was fitted in the TNT 115 and others (according to Peavey records) but no mention of the 150, it's a mystery. When I get it back, I'll have a look and see what is actually in it. But I'm pretty sure you'll tell me that a new Eminence driver will be far superior anyway. Cheers, Mick.
I replaced the speaker in my TNT115 with an Eminence 15" driver - the difference was stunning.
  22. Listening to the radio this morning with cans on and Candi Statton 'Nights on Broadway' came on. Very good bass line - any idea who the bassist is??
