Mine works fine with active basses, i've used it with a Warwick (9v MEC) and my Zoot (18v Aguilar).

Very handy pedal - i take mine in my gigbag if i'm using a rehearsal room's amp so can always get a good sound no matter what. They also have a DI out which is a great feature.
