1.
id love to kick on my civil war muff with a green muff before it sorely tempted, but no doubt it will sell before i make my mind up how the barber on bass??
Really nice. Especially once you kick the boost switch. Green muff still here, btw
2.
There's an interesting fan-forum here: http://peaveyt40.forumotion.com/login.forum?connexion
I just had a "moment" when I saw the one on the login page
3. Last time I popped into Oxford St loads of things had stickers on saying "property of [manufacturer name here]. NOT FOR SALE" so I guess most stuff was going back whence it came.
4.
You have an earlier post saying "Muff gone", and now you're posting muff pics? Might be an idea to clarify how many muffs are being discussed here and which ones are available.
Good point. Black muff gone. Green muff for sale. This will teach me to add to an old thread rather than start new ones.
5. must... resist... A t-40 is on my all-time 7-bass list (since that's how big the rack in my living room is). But I'm skint. These are phenomenal. But heavy. But phenomenal.
6. Another addition to the mountain of Fuzz pedals...
7. Artec is gone! Small clone too! Buy buy buy buy buy!
8. Bump with loads of new pedals. Better than cluttering the place up with new threads.
9. I am only allowed to vote for my girlfriend. She doesn't like me thinking about other girls who play the bass.
10. Wow. That's lovely. Looks like a DMZ4000 with a retro-fitted humbucker. Is that right? Or is this some ultra-rare factory model that I've never seen before?
11. I'm sure lots of people will be along with recommendations. All I'd say is that £100 can buy an awful lot if you look through the classifieds on here, or buy second-hand on eBay. Plus the pedals will hold their value when you want to upgrade or try a new sound. A bit of sensible shopping could get you a decent trio of pedals in the classifieds.
12.
Putting headstock on cab for feedback is also a recurring theme.
Excellent. I'm more of a body-on-cab man myself, but I see where you're coming from.
13. Can I also suggest a tremolo set to a really, really low speed - so your wall of fuzzy stuff slowly crashes down on people, then fades away, then crashes down again. That might be fun - a roll of thunder under the sheets of guitar noise.
14. My girlfriend IS a bass player. And a much more talented one than me. What are you all doing with these non bass-girls?
15. My board changes on almost a weekly basis... But the principles are usually the same. All the fun true-bypass fuzzes that want to interact with my pickups at the front, with a true-bypass boost just in case. Then everything that isn't true bypass attached via loopers. Main EHX delay last (there's a shorted analogue delay in a loop to d slapback), then TU-2 to act as a buffer and kill oscillation for tuning if need be, then pre-amp. That usually works...
16. EDIT: ON EBAY NOW I bought this lovely blue Bass Collection a few months back. Turns out that she for whom it was bought doesn't want it, and would like a jazz bass instead...
17.
Dangerboy, that Rusty Box looks interesting! Do you have any clips of it in use? Or any other info would be useful, I can't seem to find much on it!
Here you go Danny - from inception to final sales described on the electrical forum: http://www.electrical.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24845 I'm told that I was the first person to order a production model. Woohoo!
18. I got so excited because I thought we were going to discuss basses MADE out of metal... Oh well.
19. This: http://www.tronographic.com/ It made me sell my Sansamp.
