  1. I need a new nut for my BB235 5 string, it's 43mm, anyone know where I can get Yam parts from? I'm drawing a blank with searches. Thanks
  2. Hi, is my tweeter diaphragm blown? It's separated all around the edge, but the center is still intact, I'm not sure? The tweeter doesn't work btw, at all. Eminence ASD1001.
  3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  4. I have one I keep as a spare, it really is an impressive combo, always sounds good with any bass, any genre.
  5. Great, thanks, no it was just in case one half has been voiced better for the E+A and the other half for the D+G.
  6. Been fitting some Wilkinson p bass pickups into a bitsa. The way they were soldered, I've got the logo half nearest the neck. But just noticed that most images of these pickups have the logo half nearest the bridge. So does this matter? Are both halves the same on a split coil?
  7. Will you venturing anywhere near the M25 any time soon, I could meet and it take off your hands?
  8. Got one of these in sea foam, that's keeping all my other basses on the subs bench, nice pre-amp, build is A1.
  9. Yeah, I have plenty of cabs, it was merely a question of how to make the small combo giggable with a power amp.
  10. Cheers guys, I'll give it a try then, will pick up a power amp and connect it to the 'preamp out', should be fun. Can't think why anyone would want to use the 'power amp in' for this combo, it's only 25 watts !!
  11. Hi, wondering if you can help plug a knowledge gap for me. I have a small Fender Frontman 25B that I use for practice (see attached). I quite like the tone and notice it has a 'power amp in' and 'pre amp out' on it. I don't know a lot about power amps or connecting them, but could I feasibly buy a power amp and use it to power this combo to a greater level? Any gotchas? If you could say which input I need to use that would also be useful. Thanks.
  12. I did order the Fazeley P Bass but it was not of sufficient quality for my liking, so I returned it. Neck had an awful texture, didn't even bother plugging it in. Colour was superb aaghh. However, I ended up buying an Aria STB PB on Amazon as a back up bass. My word, the quality is excellent, nice pups, ballsy tone, nice smooth and even neck. Only downside is it comes in regulation black with white guard, but that's going to change soon 🙂
  13. Thanks for the advice. Yes it has been warm in the south the last week, I'll be a bit more patient with it.
  14. Hi, just picked up a nice used P&J Squier to use as a back up. However, the neck had quite a bit of forward bow. I've spent the last few days straightening it with the truss rod, but each morning it's bowed back just a little, not by much, but enough to raise the action and be annoying. My question is, will this eventually settle and be straight? How long do you think? Cheers.
  15. @theplumber thanks for the update, have ordered one.
  16. theplumber - do you still like the bass? I'm thinking of getting one, is the nut width thinner than a Precision? Thx
