Hmmm..... I'm having a lot of problems with my LEFT shoulder, which is twisted forwards and inwards. I'm a right handed player, so this seems to go against what people have mentioned so far. I do, however, have a wasted LEFT deltoid (due to a sublocated collar bone) and a series of numb spots around my upper left arm/shoulder and neck (ARABASSIST do you have these too?). Also, I seem to be suffering quite badly (i.e. daily) from a sore/cramped left forearm/wrist. I am a physiologist, what I think the title calls for is a physiotherapist. However, as I understand it, everything (eventually) attaches to the spine, so I would recommend a consultation with a chiropractor for any niggles which refuse to go away. I recently chatted with Stu Hamm about such problems and he recommended the same. Unfortunately, there is usually so many things wrong with everybody, so a consultation might be quite a depressing experience (I for one was called Quosimodo and told that my neck was twisted, because my shoulder was twisted, because my spine was bent, because my hips were twisted, because I walk strangely - and changing all these things seems like an impossible task!!) From what I have heard, a series of warm up exercises AND COOL DOWN exercises for you're shoulders ALEXCLABER would go along way I'm sure proper hand positioning/technique and strap lengths also apply. Anyone have a stretching routine which they have found to have helped?

I am by no means any good, but I found playing along to Aeroplane by RHCPs helped me out. Probably because its simple (?!) octave patterns and a damn fine tune that was fun to keep on playing!

Love them!! I have two MK1 (32") Fender Urge's and they are the badger's nadgers! Plus the Kubicki X-Factor is 32" (although it somehow feels 34" in comparison to my Urge's). Also have a Kramer 8 string which I believe to be short scale, plus a Kay KJP-1B (........awaits ridicule). I actually love my 30" Kay, it looks beautiful! Its the Les Paul type body (which is <2" thick!) in a deep mahogony colour with crisp chrome pup and ashtray. I've strung it BEAD with medium/heay gauge La Bella Flats and its my dub/reggae/occasionally motown bass! Not bad for a £80 experiment, I'm dead chuffed. Still want a 30" Alembic, a 32" status and a vintage, battered mustang. Oh, and I have an Ashbury!

Hey mate, any feedback on the pedal? Cheers

cheers lads, some informative responses and yup - spotted the one on ebay but I there's no way I can currently afford it. Just struck by the looks! Plus I managed to see the Wailers play recently, and fancy turning my hand to some dub/reggae. If anyone has any further experience with the tracking then I'd love to hear it B

Hi All, http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Amp...edal?sku=153601 Anyone own/played one of these? I need an octaver and I'm only looking for a 1 octave down. Would be for single note use, dub/reggae and for some synthy fuzz juiciness. At the risk of sounding horrendously cosmetic.....it looks beautiful!! There are some sounds on this link too. Any info would be good. Ta B

Peavey Milestone worth turning into a project bass

I'd be lying if I said I did the mods. Took it to my local techy! -
Peavey Milestone worth turning into a project bass

Do it! I had one of these as my first ever bass - and I still think they are brilliant for the money. I subsequently went on to stick a badass II on it, add a bartolini preamp and tweak the neck, and it was great! Very well balanced, lightweight, LOVELY neck. I used it as my main bass fretted for at least a year before I bought my Fender Urge. I think these basses have a lot of potential. I was rocking/funking/slapping/tapping away and loving every minute of it! -

Cheers guys! I mean, its all bad news, but its what I expected and I appreciate the feedback! Well I'm no longer in a hurry to sell it, I still love playing it and I'm sure it will eventually start to appreciate in value! Cheers all

Wotchya all, Due to severe lack of space, my local guitar tech will be holding and selling this bass for me and I should give him a reasonable price tag. Its the string through body, 32" Pau Ferro neck with complete working and original J's and P pups and preamp. It also has a Hipshot D-Tuner. Neck is straight and absolute joy to play. Body has matching black with gold sparkle headstock and gold hardware. No dinks or nicks apart from a slightly tarnished Fender neck plate on the back, basically looks brand new. These basses are great, a real versatile player's bass, and not too common (Its the medium scale Urge 1 model, not the 34" Urge II). Can't remember the year off hand. Comes with hardcase. Was wondering if there are other users out there? Or if anyone could suggest a price tag? Although the current climate doesn't particular lend itself to disposable income, I was thinking £850+ at least. I think one was sold on here for £1000 a few months back. I believe the guitar shop (Charlie Chandlers Experience in Twickenham) will be taking a 15% cut. Thoughts guys? Cheers!

gota agree with Bassmonster - I bought the Vintage Fretless bass as a cheap way of starting out sans frets. I love it! Its a VERY playable bass with a great sound for the money. In fact, scrap that, its just a very playable, good-sounding bass. I have only ever heard good things about this model, although I haven't tried any of their other stuff.
