  1. Perhaps he sees his designs as thought provoking, like a South bank art installation. He expects people to be shocked? Maybe he accepts the negative comments as being people who don't understand his unique design flair and engineering solutuons? But, at some point he needs to discuss his output, with experts?
  2. Why is he obsessed with players with big hands? No wonder SRV never got anywhere?
  3. I understand that some people find his quirky style interesting, but i've not found a muso who feels he has saved/improved an instrument with his unique approach?
  4. Yes, he is very good at making his work sound justified in his listing. In fact he is very good at writing his listings? I would imagine all that psuedo tech talk could sound impressive to some people. Feedback 99.8%?
  5. Agreed. The absolute worse for this are the Chinese sellers. If they are selling at £19.95 and you offer £19.90 they'll decline!
  6. You guys have missed a treat, check out the sellers 'rock' clothing range?
  7. "But I want nothing this society's got!"😃
  8. All the strings look short! Barely one turn on the post?
  9. You forget the latest 'grime' person to appeal to the urban yoof
  10. IBTL Looks like he's tried to re-profile the bottom of the bridge to compensate for the guitar 'bellying up'. But instead filled the void with glue. Plus a couple of B&Q allen head bolts to make damn sure!
  11. I like to do as much work on my guitars as I can, but not sure if buying in the tools for fret dressing/crowning is financially viable?
  12. I have discovered a high fret on my jazz. Up the 'dusty' end, which although I rarely visit there, I'd like to know all is well if I chose to. So my options are 'give it a tap', or a fret levelling. I'm guessing that many of us have experience of using a hammer, but has anyone levelled and re dressed/crowned their own frets?
  13. But to be fair to Hugh, the stranglers songs often require that sort of 'angry shouty yob voice' (JJ was good at that), rather than pavarotti
  14. I think he did a pretty good job on 'golden brown'?
  15. The Stranglers never actually described themselves as punks and back in the day never denied it either. They do now though. But who cares about labels? I like The Stranglers. JJ was one of my inspirations to play bass. Has anyone mentioned 'London Lady' yet.
  16. I agree, although usually guys like JJ with huge martial arts abilities are rarely 'bated' into fighting? But JJ enjoys it!
  17. A) It could have been 'a little bit' choreographed? b)
  18. Jet explains about the 'punk' thing at @2:23.
  19. You forgot the classic "why i hate my $300,000 1954 precision!"
  20. Do what every other ebay bidder does when suffering buyers remorse and blame it on having your account 'hacked'?
  21. Blimey, is he still around?
  22. Relisted? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Mustang-Bass-1969-Competition-Blue-MH-Very-Rare-Corrected-Listing/233270349081?hash=item364fff0d19:g:spsAAOSwsuxc2fBh
