The Variax had a good upright patch on it when I owned one,pity they never did a new version.

My MB Little Rocker does that, I think it's a soft start function for the Amp so nothing to be worried about.

I'm exactly the same as you (Bit younger 48), When our singer (52) declared 'I don't want to play any new music' I was mentally walking out of the band. To have limitations imposed on you is a bad pill to take. In my book a good song is a good song regardless of when it was recorded. Since I've got Deezer if anything my musical tastes are more modern than 20 years ago, and I love it.

I use Deezer with Sonos 5's , There are some nights in my house when the Tele never gets put on. Got out of listening to music for years but I've discovered so many new bands , Its like a new hobby. Blue Nipple Boy -Romanian Reggae anyone? -

Love Satch saw him first with the Flying in a Blue Dream tour with Stu Hamm, Hamm did Star Trek as his solo piece ( quite mind blowing for me at that point) . Might go this time big fan of Marco on drums.
