1.
I've noticed twice now that when i change strings on a bass that the E string sounds dead and flat compared to other strings. Almost as if its being muted. Yes i strung it the same way as the others strings. No theres no foam of any sort on the basses. Could it be the intonation or something??? Any ideas whats up??? Thanks Alex
I'm guessing but the bass might have had a heavier gauge on at some point and it's maybe worn away the nut enough for it to not seat the string properly. I've got a pbass copy with a brass nut that does the same. Just a suggestion

 5.
Whats the board on the Blade - is it Rosewood, Ebony etc? Garry
It's an ebony board Garry. Same as the guy's in the second posting.... Cheers Dave
 6.
Veery pretty I have one like it but white, I can vouch for the great sound those make and also that they're a bit heavy The neck is also sublime and the ebony fingerboard of good quality. z
Are you sure it's white and not just snow and ice? Bump for edit... 4 or 5 string trades for the Blade. Ta Dave
 7. For sale a Levinson Blade b4 in violet burst. It looks black in most lights but the violet shows in natural light. Active with tunable high/low/mid trim pots for the tone circuit and 2 levels. It's had the frets levelled and set up with ernie ball standard guage strings. The front of the bass is in great condition for it's age (1991) but the back has damage to the finish by a previous owner who has sanded it (see pic). Bought this for a band that never got going and it's gathering dust now. It's not light (about 14lbs) but it plays well and sounds how you'd expect a super jazz to sound. SOLD+ postage (Less than what I paid on here) Thanks for looking... 10. A couple of guitarists I know swopped recently to bass and informed me that they were now bassplayers. My reply was "No... you are bass OWNERS!!" You never see someone that's gone from guitar to bass play with their fingers do you? It's always a pick.

 17.
Thanks for the comments guys. It is indeed a great bass and Dave is a top bloke to deal with. The decal hasn't been lacquered over, so I suspect you'd be able to remove it without sanding, I'm no expert though. There'll be a thread on here somewhere that explains how. I think the new decal is a waterslide transfer, so it shouldn't be too difficult to apply (Famous last words...!) I'll have a look in the morning.
I can verify the above I had just put the decal on the headstock when Stu aquired it. Should come off with a good soaking and the surface is already perfect for applying the new decal. It really is the camels doohdah!! D
 18.
Evening all, Up for sale is my Fecker Jizz "bitsa" bass, which I swopped last year from Davetbass. I don't really want to sell it, however I'd like to get the twisted neck on my Musicman sorted, so it's up for sale to fund that. It has a Mighty Mite maple/maple neck and the frets have been dressed so it plays really well and is lovely and slim. The origin of the body is unknown. It has EMG active pickups and wiring with traditional jazz controls and really nails the classic Jazz sound. It also has black hardware with Badass 11 bridge and Wilkinson tuners. Currently strung with Ernie ball slinky's. It's in Olympic white and I've added a tort scratchplate, however the original brass anodised one will be included. I'll also include a "Fender Jazz Bass" made in U.S.A. decal, which I never got round to fitting. The body and neck have a few marks here and there, but generally good. Any questions, please ask.
I can vouch for this guitar and Stu who is a great guy to deal with. Bought as a project on this forum and lovingly coaxed into a really powerful bass. Finishing touches were made by a local luthier who profiled the frets and set the whole thing up. That alone cost 120 quid so a bargain to be had!! Cheers Stu Dave
