1. Quick note to say that I've just bought a bass from Ted and he's a total gent! Detailed photo's and description of the item as well as great comms throughout. Packaged securely and sent with a tracking number. Would happilly deal with again and if he has anymore hidden gems under the bed I definately will Thanks again, Davetbass
2. Taping up the catches and whacking a sticker on is pretty foolproof in my experience of shipping. Don't miss a sale... a bass case is the best thing to ship in IMHO.
3. The headstock was reshaped and lacquered to make it less fendery and that s it. Dummy pup routing was for a g and l humbucker.
4. Thanks. The body is based on an old overwater c bass shape.
5. The cat is not for sale .... Trade only for a dog.
6. Hello, For sale is my custom project I've been working on for a while now and it's done. Unfortunately needing to sell a couple of basses to fund another purchase so it's going Body is hand sculpted one piece of seasoned black pine. Neck is a slightly modified vmj. Active mec pbass pup wired vol/tone and is very punchy and has a variety of tonal possibilities. It has a high mass quality bridge and Wilkinson tuners. Plays well with a low action and new Ernie ball strings. Paint job is a kind of flat black. Somewhere inbetween gloss and matt. The back pup is a dummy(highly polished piece of black granite) as are the back two pots. Originally had two humbuckers but wasn't sold on them so the pbass one went in. The bass isn't too heavey and it has a few little dents and scratches but nothing major. I'm into this bass for A LOT of money so asking a reasonable £250 + postage for a unique instrument. Thanks Dave
7. How about my Fenderwateroverbird? ........... and a very old cat!
8. Just picked up a Lodestone (Ashdown) primal bass. Was wondering if anyone has one and could share their thoughts before mine arrives. Thanks Dave
9. New meaning to "slab body" Still a better shape than a mm bongo
10. Bought Grants Peavey head and the whole transaction was completed in less than 24 hours (including courier) Fast delivery and a great price! Very organised. Thanks again mate it was a pleasure Dave
11. Bought an Ibanez Roadster from Russ and he was great. Good comms and a nice guy to deal with. Thanks again Dave
12. Swapped a Sandberg for Gray's Ibanez Musician. Really genuine guy and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again mate and I hope to see you again sometime :-) Dave
13. Hello , Did you sell the peavey tour amp and cab? Cheers Dave
14.
I don't think my ego would fit in the door of Henrys anyway.
I'm leaving mine in a hanger at the airport just to be safe Doesn't have to be as big as I've suggested just everyone chuck the ideas in and we'll see what happens.
15. No limit's bud. We can swap out bass gear to our hearts content. I'm happy to leave my ABM Ashdown rig up there for the night if people just want to travel light and have a good time. Doesn't have to be us all hammering away at covers either, just gives it all a bit of structure and everyone can have a go regardless of ability. Let's face it- there's are basslines I could teach my granny to play (if she was alive) Oh and ego's must be checked in at the front door They can be collected after... D
16. I didn't want to be the first to suggest having a couple but It's a good idea I'm hatching a plan folks see what you think.... We could hire Henrys Cellar bar for about £200. That would give us a full p.a. and exclusivity for the night. I could get the drummer and singer/guitarist from my 3 piece to come along. Before we book anything I could post a set list of all our covers for you guys to learn what you fancy doing then just get up and do it. It's a bit bassyoke but it would be a laugh and give the night a bit of structure. Could also have requests that I'd get the guys to learn in advance if there's nothing there you fancy. The guitarist can literally sing and play anything and the drummer is pro and plays off the dots if need be. Just an idea... Dave
17. Welcome Stuart, Likewise for any help or questions you only have to ask. Liking the idea of a Bassbash thing in Edinburgh. You can count me in
18. Swapped Sandbergs with Oli and it was effortless for me. He organised (and paid for) the couriers and everything ran like clockwork. Was a complete gent to deal with and as other people have said, his item was better than he'd described. Would happily deal with Oli again in the future. Thanks again, Dave n.b. Oli paid for the courier in our deal... please don't take this as a given in any future deals you may make as he's no mug and very swtched on...
