  1. A rather lovely, virtually unused, Ashdown CTM-30-Tweed Head. Price drop, now £400 I bought this in 2021 for a run of 40+ gigs in a boogie woogie/blues band along with a 50s P-bass, strung with flats. It transpired that all the gigs had backline supplied 🙄 So, apart from the occasional plugging in at home to marvel at the beautiful warmth of sound and quite extraordinary volume with the Deep 15 cab, it's pretty much as new. Collection only.
  2. Cheers Ricky… I know, it’s a steal really. I have had to stop myself playing it, the neck is sublime. Overall it’s very reminiscent of the JV Squier I had in 1984, which is partly why I bought it. A friend of mine has one with flats on and it punches through wonderfully.
  3. Yes indeed, I am selling both. However, I have another precision and another jazz… Sadly, I need to sell, rather than trade.
  4. Fender Classic 60s Jazz Bass Olympic White Really good condition, great bass, however I don't need it. This is a polyester (boo) finish, with a rosewood board (yay)-according to Fender. Pics are from website I originally bought it from. Can bubble wrap/box if you arrange a courier, otherwise come visit the wonderful county of Dorset... Cheers, Simon
  5. Hello, Fender Vintera 50s Precision Bass Dakota Red Maple Fingerboard. I bought this from guitarguitar as a back up bass, the pictures are from their website, it still looks the same. It's virtually unused, obviously, I have actually played it, but never gigged...Comes with the Fender gig bag. I can bubble wrap/box it etc;-if you sort out a courier to collect. Otherwise, treat yourself to a day out down in Dorset, it's nice! Cheers, Simon
  6. Have just bought a fabulous GK 200MB combo from Pete. It's bang on as described, nice! Plus, he's a top bloke! Easy, straightforward, a great BassChatter! Cheers!
  7. Yeah. Wayne rocks! A superb, painless transaction, delivered promptly, packed properly. Brilliant bass (thanks dude!) EXACTLY as described. Thank you, Simon
  8. 6 Music, right now 13.52! Listen. Do it. Do it NOW!
  9. Hey. About time I did this; So, I exchanged the Hellborg bass with Jake's NXT. Very smooth, even though we both took a fairly mahoosive leap of faith, by synchronised posting. Jake is a great dude to deal with! Simon
  10. On topic. I suggest Peter Tyler. Lovely fella, usually has a range of basses. http://www.tylerbasses.co.uk/page3.html
  11. Up until 2006, from 2002 I was flying to Spain and back regularly with an NS CRM5 on Easy Jet, they would let me take it on, if I booked a seat. Initially I said "it's an electric double bass" they replied "no double basses" so, when I booked the seat, I said it was a cello, no problem! "Mr Cello" as he became known for booking purposes, had to have a window seat though, apparently he wouldn't be much help in an emergency...
  12. Hi, I'm interested, whereabouts are you/the amp located? Cheers, Simon
  13. A price reduced to £700.00 bump...
  14. Hi Frederik (again), At the weigh in the Hellborg was showing 9.5lbs, which is 4.31kgs... Simon
  15. Hi Frederik, I will weigh it today...but, to hazard a guess, I would say it's about 9lbs, about the same as a Wal. Cheers, Simon
  16. Line 6 DL4. Pretty good condition. No box or PSU (runs on batteries though). Comes with Line 6s pilot's handbook. Looptastic & yours for £110 +postage, or collection from Dorset. Cheers Simon
