Hi folks some of you may have noticed i have been after a ricky left handed bass for months now i have given up looking but have been offered a ibanez copy i was wondering have any of you had one of these what are they like and what is a fair price.I have already got 2 ibenez basses one a cheapy the other a musician bass and think they are great basses but not had anything to do with the ricky copy i would like to hear from anyone with any info about them thanks to you all.

Hi Alloy go for the markbas iv got just about every bass guitar and amp you can name and after tryng them all i now use a markbass combo 2x10 and a markbass 151hf 1x15 and cannot fault it also i can carry them without breaking my back .The markbass will still get you your money back when you sell it hope this helps.Good luck with what ever you buy.

[b]hi if you want a good secondhand bass go for a yamaha or ibenez iv got a musicmans 2 warwicks a usa fender loads of basses and would say ibenez or yamaha are best value for money as far as amps go for a secondhand combo a ashdown or ampeg .Most of the bass players on this forum would also give you some good advice so just go on reading there comments and soon you will get fixed up.I only learn about basschat a few months ago but since then have been given some great advice by these really clever people on here and have learn a lot from them.Good luck with the gear your looking for and keep on rockin.[/b]

Hi Machines i was having same problem with my ampeg rig great sound but back breaking so i bought a ashdoown combo but still back breaking iv tried all sorts and ended up with a workshop full of amps and combos but then i came across a markbass 2x10 combo and all my troubles where over.I gigged it the other night and the drummer thought he was building a shed both guitarist with mega big rigs but my markbass cut threw them no probs . I didnt believe how good they were till i tried one and after the gig guitar in one hand the combo in the other . Try one out you may be suprised. Hope you get sorted cheers mate.

iv been looking at buying a tobias tobi pro 4 but dont know anything about them except they look good value for money basses the price is £200 anyone got any info for me thanks .

[/quote]That sounds good to me if i was you i would definately go for the mark bass you just mentioned both great cabs and you can always get your money back or even sell for more as they are always wanted on this forum . [i]Hi Nick iv tried most cabs iv got ashdown peavey markbass custom sound ampeg and a workshop full of amps and cabs and must say i love the markbass 2x10 really light great bottom end and clear as a bell top end.I got the same problem as you and now use a little nissan micra for transport because i get 50+ a gallon and the markbass fits in great .go and try one and you always get a good price when you sell them on.Good luck with the cab.[/i]

[i]hi i have several combos peavey ashdown custom sound and just bought a markbass 2x10 but if i was you i would look at a ampeg 100watt combo i had one for a short time and was well impressed i now have a ampeg stack as well as combos also a markbass stack but value for money is the ampeg combo and being ampeg you always get a good price when you sell it. Try one out at your nearest music shop that sell ampeg. Good luck with the combo you decide to get.[/i]
