6. Hj westwood i know what you mean about different cabs iv got markbass ampeg peavey ashdown and loads more but i like the markbass .I play in a rock band with guitarist using more marshall cabs than you can wave a stick at and a drummer who thinks hes building the biggest shed you could imagine and iv settled for a markbass combo on its own it copes with the rest of the band but if we do big gigs i add my markbss 151 hf and the sound is unbelievable never heard many other bass players with so much bottom end i dont know whether it makes much difference rear ported or front but over the years i seem to go for the front ported but thats only my opinion.Good luck with what ever you buy cheers mate.
7. where abouts are you wibbler i was looking for another cab to put on top of my anpeg 1x15.

10. hi there i must say the best bass in my opinion to start would be ibenez or yamaha rbx270 i play a fender presicion a musicman and a warwick streamer but have got a couple of ibenez and a yamaha rbx 270 and when i pick up a bass to learn a new song always use my yamaha dont know why but i think value for money unbeatable . Go down to your local music shop and try ibenez or yamaha and im sure you wont be dissapointed like a lot of these basschaters on here will tell you same thing.Good luck with what ever you choose and keep an eye on basschat as they are all helpfull guys they helped me a lot and solved many of my problems cheers for now.

12. i play in a rock band with a guitarist using double stack marshall drummer thinks hes building a shed using masive drum kit and iv got a ampeg stack ashdown peavey and markbass and with my markbass 2x10 combo get no problems at all if i feel i need that bit extra i use my markbass 151hf cab with the combo i love my ampeg but my markbass does everything my other amps do .If you cant get the sound you want with the markbass it could just be your bass thats the trouble i use a fender presicion a warwick streamer and a musicman and all sound great with markbass gear . Hope this helps.

ampeg cab

Hi i know it might sound daft but im no good on mending gear so can anybody tell me how to get to the speaker on a ampeg 1x15 svt cab cause i think its blown no sound coming from it iv tried another amp and lead thanks.
18. well said xgsjx i have a ashdown combo and dont rate it at all the only time i have had to put another cab with my mb 2x10 combo was when i played a open air concert and i added my mb 121hf which was that good one of the top bands we were supporting told me how good it sounded. The only other gear i would rate as good as my mb is my big ampeg gear but you need a fork lift truck to lift it.
19. I play in a rock band with a guitarist using a big marshall stack and a drummer who thinks hes building a shed and use a markbass 2x10 combo and have no problems making there ears bleed so try a markbass iv got other amps ampeg stack ashdown combos peavey combos ect but love the markbass try all the others out but markbass in my opinion are great amps and i carry mine in one hand and my guitar in the other.Hope this helps.
