1. That's the problem really- it won't let me sign up in their website :/ I can't see what I'm doing wrong
2. I've been using my GX interface for some time on my Mac using Logic X. However I've just bought a new macbook and I want to use it on there, again using logic X. The Problem is the GX unit won't show up in the audio preferences and the light on the GX is red (usually green) so I'm guessing I need to download Pod Farm or some sort of driver software (I can't remember if I did this on my old mac). Anyway I've been on the Line6 website to download pod farm and it WILL NOT let me sign in or sign up!!! So fustrating, it keeps putting me back on the sign up page every time I try to sign up, and keeps telling me there is an error every time I try to log in. Does anyone know if there is anywhere else I can download pod farm? or something I'm doing wrong on the Line6 website? Thanks in advance
3. Ashdown ABM bass cabinet- 300watt 1x15" speaker (says 250 on the back panel but the speaker has been replaced with Ashdown Blueline) 8ohm- 2x 1/4" jack inputs This is a solid speaker cab that has never let me down and is a fair bit lighter than my 4x10 and sounds great on its own, or paired up with another cab. It does have a few scuffs and scratches but is structurally sound and these are barely noticeable. Due to the size of this item I will only be offering cash on collection, however buyer is welcome to organise a courier:) I am based in Taunton, Somerset Don't hesitate to ask me any other questions.L Thanks for looking Pic soon
4. This is my 1x15 Ashdown ABM cab, speaker has been replaced with a 300watt one but still 8ohm. Has been used so there are marks on the outside but nothing major. Can send pics if anyone is interested:) Collection from Taunton or buyer to arrange courier. Thanks for looking
5. My clumsy brother managed to knock the gain knob on my old trace elliott combo and it's snapped off! you cant even turn it at all and i need to sell the amp asap to make space. Does anyone know what pot i need to get to replace it and how easy/hard it is? this is it if it help:
6. thanks, looks like quite a nice bass for the money. No idea what it sounds like but looks like it should be much more expensive!
7. Just wondering exactly what model of Peavey this is? and how much it would be worth. It looks a bit like the Grind to me
8. I have an old peavey milestone 3 which is in desperate need of some new pickups, I'm tempted to get some Fender jazz ones- will these fit? and are they easy to fit? Also what good alternatives are there out there? I play rock music and some slap and i like a punchy sound and a bit like Mark Hoppus from blink I guess. Don't want to spend much if possible too cheers
9. Thanks everyone that's cleared things up a bit (except I still don't understand electrical things lol)
10. I've recently bought myself an Ashdown Evo 3 575watt head and have been running it through my trusty mag 410 cab. I've now bought an abm 1x15 cab to add to my rig a swell. Now, the head has 2 speakon outputs, however the abm cab only has 2 1/4" jack inputs. Soooo I've connected head to 4x10 via speakon, then 4x10 to 1x15 via speaker jack cable. Am I right in thinking this is now wired in series? and if so am I also right in thinking that means im running at half the power/volume? if not am I completely wrong? is it even a good idea to wire up speakers this way? any help would be much appreciated as I haven't gigged with both the speakers yet so I need to know if I'm doing it right before I do
11.
+1 to OBBMs cables, they are incredibly good quality, and amazing prices.
Sorry I've never heard of them, where can I buy them from? Cheers
12. Do I just need a speakon cable to hook my ashdown evo 3 head to my ashdown abm cab? If so will this one do- eBay item number 370470887400. Sorry I'm a bit of an amature with this
13. Awesome thanks il see how I get on!
14. Thanks guys that's cleared things up no end. All the gear I'm planning on putting together is ashdown. One speaker and the head from the abm range so hopefully should go together nicely. Does it matter if the speakers are difference watts? Or is it all to do with the ohms again?
15. Might be a stupid question but I'm a novice with this. If I have a 500watt amp and want to run 2 separate speaker cabs, do they both need to be at least 500watts? Or could I use 2 250watt cabs? I've no idea how it works really. Any advice would be great cheers
