1. I've got a Peavey PV8 USB which has done me well for a couple of years. Keep an eye on ebay too, you can often pick up older gear for peanuts as people want nice shiny modern stuff.
2. Hehe, the Paulman will be staying for the foreseeable future/forever. Haven't tried the phone number yet...
3. A Bongo, a Bongo, they play them in the Congo... (and everywhere else because they're lovely)
4. Bump for the adding Source Audio.

Korg G5 - Synth

I've had one for a couple of years and never thought to find a manual as they're pretty self explanatory but it was handy to have a look through. Some awesome sounds to be had, I'd recommend running it in a bypass loop though. It murders my clean tone and also allows you to balance volume levels between clean and synth more easily.

Korg G5 - Synth

There's a copy here: http://jazzad.perso.neuf.fr/Manuals/Korg/Korg_G5_en.pdf
7. Looks fun, I'll have it if it's still around.
8. Used them lots and they've been great every time. I ordered a Schaller machine head which was out of stock with more expected in about 4 weeks but then it arrived the next week. Can't fault that!
9. Bogdan is a big angry fuzz machine of death, not sure about the design, and I'm selling it (to Sibob) because it's not got a place in my current sound and I'm very poor after buying a car today!
10. I'm about to go and buy a car so BUMP!
11. Cheers guys, managed to get it down to under £1500 on Admiral 10 month accelerator policy with a couple of mates on there as named drivers and saving an extra £200 by keeping the car on the road not my drive and not having an immobiliser (which makes perfect sense...)
12. I love their covers of Baby and Circus but this one didn't do it for me either, felt a bit sterile in comparison. They have made me go and practise a lot and try and get silly harmonised fills into anywhere I can cram one though
13. Looks like you need to be a student for the 6 months thing... There's not much difference between the hatchback and the estate as they're group 1 and 2 respectively and the extra couple of inches can always be filled with something!
14. I'm about to get a car and being my first, being 24 and having had a license for less than a year means insurance is a bit brutal. I've managed to get a lowest of about £2200 for a 1.2 Skoda Fabia estate (I need something big ish to fit double bass, amps, other gear and ideally a person or two in) with Admiral. I'm trying to get a quote from a black box insurer but the ones I've tried don't cover musicians. Does anyone know a black box company that will give me a quote?
15. Just found them in a cupboard, free to anyone that wants them. I don't know what type or gauge the DR is, it'll be either a Hi-Beam or a Lo Rider though.

Feedback for Sibob

Bought Sibob's Boss Slicer, posted quickly, well packed, lovely to deal with. Cheers dude!
17. Bought an OC3 from Dan, posted quickly and really well packed. Cheers dude!
18. Bought Nathan's Groove Regulator, met up to collect it and a super smooth transaction all round. Cheers dude!
19. Just bought an amp bag from Gareth, posted it the next day and a super smooth deal all round. Cheers dude!
20. Aye, never bothered me though. Still as good a funk machine as ever!
21. This be gone now. After a brief love affair with this I've decided I prefer my Paulman after all so I have to move it on. It's a Musicman Bongo 5 HH in lovely desert gold finish. It's got a bit of damage which I've tried to show in the pictures: there is an approximately 1.5 inch chip in the lacquer above the bridge end strap button (I got it in this condition, I assume it was dropped) and a phone number lightly scratched into the lacquer towards the bottom of the pickguard. The chip gets covered by the strap when playing so no one in the audience will notice that and the phone number is so faint that I didn't notice it for a couple of weeks and couldn't get a good photo of it. The Musicman fitted hard case is included, this has 'Macs Music' painted on it. Finally, one of the original strap buttons fell out and I can't remember the safe place I put it so I'll include a set of brand new Dunlop Dual Design straplocks. Enough of the bad bits, the bass is well set up and plays really nicely, looks stunning and sounds huge. The preamps in these things really are monstrous! The Bongo features:

Basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard
Dual neodymium humbuckers
4-band 18V EQ
24 frets
More info available at http://www.music-man...ses/bongo-5.htm I'm after £750 delivered, you're welcome to come and try and/or collect it in Sheffield. I'm after the monies but trades are fun so I'll consider anything! (preferably cheaper 5 strings) Ta for looking, Tim.
22. Bump. I'll consider trades but I'm after cash really, I'd be interested in trying a Behringer sans amp copy thingy to get a feel for those.
