Just sold Stefan my 3leaf Groove Regulator, he's a really pleasant guy to deal with and took care of all the Paypal fees involved with converting from Euros. I'd happily deal with him again and can highly recommend him as a quality Basschatter. Cheers dude!
3. 3leaf is gone, Radial loop and Behringer wah still up for adoption.
4. I've got these left over from partially used sets. D'Addario Nickel Wound A string, I'm pretty sure it's .080 gauge from am EXL-170 set. Dean Markley .128 Nickel B string Overwater (I think) 0.058 Nickel DR A and B strings, can't be sure what sort either is as I used to use Hi-Beams and Lo-Riders. £2 posted per string.
5. Just bought a pedal from Ian, he sent it off nice and quickly and it was well packed. No hesitations in recommending you to buy his stuff!
6.
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!
I tried but when the smoke had cleared all that remained among the rubble of my house was the bass in perfectly-unburnt condition.
7. I bought this from here a few years ago and used it in a couple of bands at uni but it's lying dormant at the moment so I thought I'd pass it on. I believe it's a prototype/one off Alan at Bassix made while working on something else - if not a one off it's certainly about as close as you can get! It is very purple, very V shaped and very eye catching. It is strung with black nylon coated electric bass strings, except for the D which is a cheap upright string as the old one broke. Sound wise it's more like a fretless than an upright, I used to run it through a fishman bass preamp to give it some more oomph. I'd like £200, it comes with a soft case and you're welcome to come and give it a play in Sheffield. You too could look as cool as this:
8. These are currently on ebay with a day or so left. Radial - here. BBE - here.
9. I put my old G5 on ebay when they were doing the post Christmas free listings, it's not in the best shape but priced to reflect that. If someone on here buys it drop me a PM and I'll do free postage, if it doesn't sell I'll patch it up and bring it back over here. It has about a day left, the listing is
10. Just bought an amp attenuator from Tom, everything went super smoothly with great comms all the way, packed really well and posted nice and quickly. Recommended seller and would deal with him again without hesitation. Buy his stuff!
11. I'm a fan of the old system, especially for the discussion of items and the lack of formality - I like getting an insight into sellers from their communication with people and (sometimes) how they write their adverts. I don't think thumbnails are needed but a form requiring information such as location and a price would be good, however as has been mentioned, if an advert doesn't provide much information then the main consequence is that it is less likely for the item to sell. A pay per ad system would be fairest to raise money - it would need to be cheaper than an ebay listing - but adverts should be viewable to all; I think I first found the site from a link to a for sale item.
12. I got this 2nd hand a few years ago and had it defretted when I wanted to be Les Claypool. Knowing owning a real Carl Thompson rainbow bass was nothing more than a dream, I figured the closest I could achieve was a rainbow painted bass. I must confess the finish isn't of the highest quality but it looks rather striking from a distance (or from the audience as you stomp proudly around the stage). It was made in 1993 and has an active 2 band EQ, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and alder body, I seem to remember the grain being quite nice if you were to strip it and go for a natural/transparent finish and it comes with a tatty but usable gig bag. It's in need of a couple of knobs and a new set of strings. I'd like £100 collected from Sheffield or will post at cost, you're welcome to come and give it a try.
13. I have a bass with Nordstrand jazz pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and I've recently been having lots of problems with interference noise (thought it was stage lights at the time) and clicks when I touch the strings and pots which points to grounding issues. I've just had a more thorough poke around and all the wiring is sound but the pickups seem to be microphonic (if I crank my amp I can use them as a vocal mic). Could microphonic pickups cause the interference noise and grounding issues?

15. I have an ACG EQ02 4K/PT preamp in my bass which I'm very happy with but is a bit too complex for my onstage readjustments as it's so versatile. It has stacked volume/pickup blend, treble stack, bass stack and passive tone, full info is here: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=7. I'm thinking about trading for something like an Aguilar OBP-3 but will consider any (ideally 4+ pot) system or will sell for £120 posted. What have you got?
16. It's gone I'm afraid. I'll change the thread title.
