1. Just took delivery of an Allparts Jazz neck from Colin, what can I say that hasn't already been said ? An absolute doddle of a transaction! great comms, Cheers mate!
2. I bought a B200 Rocket Combo and had to return it as the rear panel had been bashed in, (packaging was factory perfect, unopened) also terrible cabinet rattle. Returned it and was sent another, and guess what! exactly the same (looked like the panel had been hammered in to fit!) All the screws and bolts were loose which caused most of the rattle,... all tightened and still had a terrible rattle when you played a B or C at gigging volume! No longer trusting or using Chinese Ampeg!
3.
what is wrong with it? cheers
Truss rod adjustment is at the base of the neck on a "genuine" from this period the head should be plugged.
4. And still no mention of the new fingerboard or Gotoh 20-1 finer geared tuners from the Eighties!
5. Definitely fake! truss rod adjustment on headstock a give away.
6. Who are they ? Looks like a Dundee hen night!
7.
I was thinking about maybe getting the fretless version but then I played a fretted one in GAK. It was very very disappointing. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59067
Cheers, didn't know someone had already checked it out, a fine looking bass does not always make a fine playing bass!
8.
Is this yer man?
Gads...! Hope I never bump into him if I'm in the company of some semi famous musician from the Sixties! he seems to have formed a band with almost every one he's ever met! wonder why they were all so short lived ?
9. This is one very attractive bass! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epiphone-Zenith-semi...=item4aa9987ce8
10. Hi, do you know this originally had the one piece scratchplate/control plate ? That's what all those extra holes were for! (used to have one)!
11. This guy could really have used some gaffa! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzXgL9V8Qm0

13.
When i hit 40, i still had very long hair no grey and no bass man gut! It's unfair now that im 49,32 yr old wife,3 kids under12 and a Harley, still no bassman gut, cant now afford all the toys i had when i was 40,or anything really! Im off the radar kids came along and still love playing "Free" songs .And im going grey/bald.And im joining a band of much less tallented numpties soon. I think i might have f****d up,but i give less of a toss about it now than i did then.
You certainly haven't f****d up, sounds like you're having a great time, as am I, still love Free also, just want a wee bit more!
14. See when you hit 40, get a bit bald, or grey and undoubtedly the bass man gut! how unfair is it that you can now afford all those toys you could only dream of when you were 21! you went off the radar a wee bit when the kids came along and now you find yourself playing "Free" songs with a few numpties a lot less talented than you! At least we can take solace in that we have the best gear available, and have like minded friends on here! Rant over It's good to talk

22. Didn't know where to post this! It's got so much for a bassist, a nice upright, John Giblin's superb playing, and bass loving beauty Kate Bush seducing the bass! I know... ( I wish I was the bass as well! ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvlfHpMBJYY I'm sure someone must have posted this before! if not enjoy.
